After hiding from Francis, I decided to go search around the Fort. I decided to go and sneek up to Francis and attack him... until I remembered he could put me in jail... I decided to attack anyway-
Big mistake.
I suddenly fell down a trap door that Francis has placed.

Argh... If only I could escape...

I used my search ability and saw a hidden hole in the floor. I made it visible and the two gaurds fell. And I found an invisible door. I entered it.

It might of been my worst decision. Enemies started attacking me. I was going to die. I was going to the Underwhere.

What about the health refreshing fountains in there. I can use those to revive.

I went down and used the health restoring fountain and appeared outside of Fort Francis.

[Gold Prognosticus]

Gold Prognosticus drew his sword. At his command, the blade burst into flames, even though they were under water. The others above the lake were in trouble, so with a few quick movements he chopped off several tentacles, then headed towards the final, red tentacle...

MsDevin floundered and flailed wildly as the tentacle holding her started to haul her back, into the water- and then, suddenly, she was falling.
Gold Prognosticus had severed the tentacle. She was free!
...Of course, she missed a safer landing on the lakebed and splashed right back down into the water.
There was a disturbance in the water beneath her- she could see more tentacles shooting up. She gasped and started swimming as fast as she could towards the shore, although it was as futile as it was in every video game with an underwater enemy. If Jak couldn't escape the Lurker Shark outside of Sandover Beach, or Razputin couldn't escape the Hand of Galochio, the chances were pretty slim that she'd escape this giant Blooper...
As a tentacle ensnared her waist and promptly pulled her under, she wished she hadn't been right.

[Paper Peach]

BLOOP BLOOP

Paper Peach cringed at the sound. "Shoot!" She spun around and sure enough The Big Bloop had surfaced, and it was mad! It grabbed for Frozenwinters and MsDevin. The ice was melting from beneath Peach's feet so she did the only other thing she could thing of. She plunged into the dpths of the Tile Pool.

Holy cow, I can swim pretty fast! strangely enough, she didn't feel the need to breathe. She quickly swam up to the Big Bloop and did her best to yell underwater, "What are you supposed to be? A Bandit who's got himself tangled in some rope?" Whether he heard it or not, the Bloop was definately angry now. a tentecal shot out at Paper Peach, and she was unable to move out of the way.

"How the underwhere am I supposed to bring out a bomb?" She usually just brought it out from nowhere, whether it was sprites or role playing. She made a weird gester with her arm and to her delight, a bomb appeared in her hands.

"Hey blubber-butt, eat this!" She threw the bomb into the Bloop's face. The Bloop let out a scream and dropped her.

Mandew continued to attack the red tentacle until Gold Prognosticus did.

Why did Gold Prognosticus' attack affect the tentacle and Mandew's didn't?

Mandew remembered...

Fire!

Mandew grabbed a Fire Flower. The power of the flower started surging through his body. His bunny ears started dissapearing and his clothes started to become white and red. One second later, he was Fire Mandew.

"GP! Go help the others, I'll annoy the Blooper a little."

With that somehow said, Mandew started to throw Fireballs at the red tentacle, hoping the Blooper could get annoyed and he could get the Blooper's attention.

The Blooper dragged MsDevin down, deeper into the water. She could see it looming out of the dark undercurrents now- and the others were here, too!
As Paper Peach threw her bomb and Mandew began lobbing fireballs, the squid's tentacle loosened enough for MsDevin to get free. She swam away and began rummaging in her bag for something she could use to join the fight, too...
Her not-quite-there hand touched something that sent a jolt of static through her body: a Thunder Rage!
...Wait...Bad idea. Wouldn't the water conduct the electricity and shock ALL of them?
Then again, the Marioverse wasn't exactly a place of logic or common sense. She remembered Luigi had been able to use his Thunderhand underwater in Mario and Luigi: Superstar Saga...
She bit her lip, and, taking the chance, activated the item, a bolt of electricity falling from the sky and cracking in a burst of light against the Blooper's tentacles, two of which withdrew, sparking and convulsing.

Zelnor walked over the newly-created bridge, running across the cold stone and tried to get over to the other tower as fast as he could. His mind was a jumbled mess of emotions, memories that hadn't been there before, personality splinters, and he didn't know who he was or what he'd been, would be.

It was at that second that a flying MeowPatrol hit him square on the head.

Zelnor stumbled backwards, and a yell of surprise rang from his throat. "I'm looking at myself from a freaking third person view and still manage to overlook the threat. Way to go." he thought gloomily. That, however, was not the most important problem at hand, as the Meow Patrol, having returned to its original position, charged onto him again. Zelnor tried to evade to the left, only to remember rather harshly that he was stuck in a two dimensional world. As he saw the Meow Patrol come too close, a last thought came from the depths of his mind.

"This is without a doubt the most stupid way to die, period."

[Gold Prognosticus]

"I'm on my way!" said Gold Prognosticus, and he jumped towards some more tentacles, slicing them in half and freeing the rest of his friends.

Still, more tentacles shot out of the seabed. "Crag, this thing is angry!" As he chopped more and more of the advancing tentacles, he failed to see one coming up behind him.

The tentacle grabbed him and pulled him down to the seabed. Gold Prognosticus reached for his sword, but another tentacle took it away. In desperation, he called for the Gold Prognosticus (the book) and opened it. This time he didn't see prophecies, but spells. One was glowing. Gold Prognosticus shouted:

"Detrav mo binda!" Destroy my bindings!

In an instant, the tentacle exploded, leaving him unharmed. He quickly felt very weak from using the spell. Better not do that too often, thought Gold Prognosticus. Now that he was free, he headed for the blooper's face, sword glowing, in the hopes of slowing it down...

vg had heard nothing for a few minutes. "I can't do anything to help them," he thought. He caught sight of a whirlpool. "Maybe there will be enough air for me to fly down there." He went down. The first thing he saw was the writhing paper. "Hrm..." He shot a few beams. They amazingly went through the water and distractecd the blooper just long enough. "I'm running out of air. Gold Prognosticus! Strike now!!!"

[Gold Prognosticus]

Gold Prognosticus stabbed the blooper right in the eye.

BLOOP!
Ow!

In desperation, the blooper sent up a tentacle to grab Gold Prognosticus. Unfortunately for the blooper, it was the red one. Putting his full force into this final blow, Gold Prognosticus stabbed his sword straight through the tentacle.

BLOOP! BLOOP BLOOP!
Ow! I'm outta here!

The blooper quickly sank back into the seabed, leaving the members on their own, speechless. It was Gold Prognosticus who broke the silence:

"Breaking news: It sank."

MsDevin swam to the surface and gasped for air...and then promptly burst into laughter at Gold Prognosticus's comment. "'It sank?'" she repeated, splashing and laughing. "Omigod!"
She paused, floating there. Two things had occured to her- one, why was she so calm in this freaky situation?!
...And two...
"...Uh, which way do we go now?"
