There is no point in suicide since, even though it may not feel like it, things will eventually get better. I mean, we don't truly know if there is a heaven or hell, and if there isn't then you have killed yourself for no reason. |

This philosophy doesn't work, not because it's right or wrong, but because someone that really is suicidal won't change their minds if you say that or whine at them aloud to not do it.
And also, if they are attn whoring, which is expectable much, you are playing their game only. |

Several of the people here aren't the kind who would joke about these things. Nassy and Jolene are far from the kind who would just say "Ima kil myself lolol got ur attn yet?" M'aiq has been trying to treat this very seriously, but it's becoming too much for him too handle. |

Things will get better. I've seen it a lot. And I was one of them once. I was abused when I was little. Things always get better. It may take a while but it happens.

No. There is no guaraentee they will. Not if you lie on your butt and wait for it to get better. You can try to MAKE it better. And you can still fail at that.
And, once again, people that really are suicidal never listen to things like that. |

Me too.
If you're going to say you're going to commit suicide, at least mean it, whether you're actually going to do it, or are considering it. Don't just do it to get attention.
I still disagree with suicide...even though I contemplated it myself back when I had depression. I understand why people do it. If they want to commit suicide, and they're very serious about it, then there really isn't much you can do to persuade them out if it. Not everyone has such a wonderful life. Some people have to suffer through every little day, and they just want to escape their misery, no matter what the cost. That's just the way life is for some people. |
