Things will get better. I've seen it a lot. And I was one of them once. I was abused when I was little. Things always get better. It may take a while but it happens.
And I agree Tssg3.

If I would have killed myself when I was first going through really rough times with my life, I would have died when I was eight years old. >.> And then I would have missed out on learning how to draw, meeting all of my really close friends, and so much of my life that I've appreciated more than anything.

No matter what, I don't think suicide is EVER worth it. Everyone goes through bad stuff sometimes, and it's just silly to think that killing yourself will save you. I mean, maybe it will... but then, what else are you going to miss out on? It's just stupid to base your life on one time of depression...

Ah, well, that's my opinion.

Suicide, any way you look at it, is extremely idiotic.

HAHAHAHAHAHAAA!!!!

That is laughable. Here's my opinion on suicide:

If you die, you are ended. You don't become a ghost or a spirit. You don't go anywhere, you are just ended. It's only hard to imagine because you cannot imagine being dead.

Now, I believe that the brain can be reinitiated. However, it would not perform the same way as before death for a few logical reasons.

1: Blood flow is stopped while dead.
2: Some memory may not be solid-state.

I'm sure there are other reasons, I'm not a neurologist, so do not expect me to know everything.

Alot of that was not solely suicide. So here is suicidey stuff:

You do effect other people when you exit their lives. However, you won't care much because you'll be dead. You'll only care before you die if you think of it.

Who's to say the life in question will get better. You have no right to say so.

I never understood the point of making it illegal to kill yourself.

Think of it this way. Most of you are not out of High School yet. Despite what people may say, these are not the best years of your life. I have for long dreamed of my life outside of the conformatrium. I've actually considered working at GameSpot for a long time. Oh, what a time that would be.

Believe me, I may not have experience to back this up, but life outside the walls is much better. You can move to a new town, start a new life, and leave your despair behind.

Agreed.

Heck, I actually had an older brother before who had an obsession with porn. I wouldn't say he was perverted though. At school, he'd never look up girls' skirts or anything, and he spoke to them in a normal way, without flirting whatsoever. It was more like an addiction he had, since he always attempted to stop himself, but never could. Of course, when I was home, I'd spy on home 24/7 to make sure he wouldn't do a thing, but behind my back, he did. He never told anyone except me about it, and he only did it at home when noone was around. He was ashamed of his obsession, but could barely control his urges, and soon told me he'd commit suicide, since he was extremely ashamed of himself and believed being perverted was a very terrible thing to be. He felt more terrible about this than anything else in life.

I quickly told him that if it truly seemed like such a big deal to him, that he should speak to Dad about it. I told in watching porn, nobody other than himself is getting hurt or harmed. I told him that being ashamed is if you punch someone in the gut. I told him that being ashamed is if you make fun of someone for their race. I told him that being ashamed is if you threaten to kill someone. If he wanted to end his addiction, he should speak to Papa about that, and that even if Dad got angry and hurt him, that it would make all of the horrible pains go away.

When my brother told Dad about this, my bro actually cried. Pa was a very wise man, and he explained to my brother that this was nothing to be ashamed about, and that he would do all that he could in his power to stop his brother's addiction if it made him feel any better. Our dad cares about both of us, and he told my brother that if he ever has ANY problems, no matter how bad they may seem, to tell him them.

The lesson here, people, is that we should never keep any secrets from our parents. Our parents gave us life, and put our existence into this world. No matter what they may or how they might say things, we must understand that they are always there for us, and they CARE and wish for only the best.

LB was COMPLETELY out of character. However, it was appropriate to be OoC for that little bit. And that consoling with parents is good for alot of things.

*applauds LB* THAT... is how it's done.

Uh, sorry to disagree with one of the most popular members and hop off the bandwagon, but... (No offense meant in this part)

... That's your condition. You have a wise father. My parents are divorced and I can't bother to tell my mother a secret, because she is dumb, gossip-obssessed, authoritary, arrogant, and so it goes on.

She would faint to find out I had two ex-girlfriends over internet, and when she woke up, she'd get the damn cell phone and call every damn person in the family to tell the "news", and they would start picking on me heavily. And then, my mom would start hawkwatching at my computer screen. She can because she made my room her office. >_>

So basically, you can trust your parents as long as they have the qualities to be trusted, like everyone else. I still can trust my father, he's somewhat wise, tight-lipped enoguh and that stuff, but not my mother. Caring about you is just one more reason for trusting and can be offset.

And what about Jesus ? He was, to make it short, the "Get out of Jail Free" card for mankind.
Even for suiciders.

Generally, suicide is wrong and stupid.

Well, the worst possible thing that could happen would be to fake your own death, go under a different identity, and then fake THAT death, and go back to the normal identity, provided that both lives are well insured. I was thinking of how Krusty the Clown did that very thing, when he was Rory B. Bellows.

And suicide also sucks because everyone will remember you as "an hero". D:

And it even affects INTERNET friends. Like when Jr. Troopa said he was gonna do it, my heart almost stopped. (Figuratively, of course.) And when he came back, everyone was relieved.

Long story short: Suicide sucks. It gets better. Blah blah blah. Go get counseling.

And that basically sums up the whole topic. D:

I've said this a million times before and will say it again.
Suicide does have a point, sometimes people have so many problems, it is too painful to live. It's their choice and no one else's.
