Reduce my cookie count to 1. That's the only 1 I got for something other than an image, and I didn't really deserve that 1 anyway, but I'm a greedy bastard.

Really, cookies aren't something to just give away the second you see something you like. They're supposed to mean something, and the people who REALLY deserve them aren't getting them because people keep giving them to spammy crap like the gifs I make. I'm HORRIFIED if I see the "You have 1 new message" thing at the top after I post a franisized gif. I'm actually starting to see cookies like strikes. Really. They aren't a symbol of something good anymore.

Changing the cookie system to once every 48 or even 72 hours would make it better, IMO.

Cookies symbolized Good posts.
I believe it should be made to give cookies on more serious topics/forums.
Or get rid of the cookie feature.

Why not give the user the option to disable cookies in their topics?

People, lets conserve our cookies for things like here in GD. Aye?
That, and PM is tortured by the now tainted cookies we've sent him.

awesome atitude mate! I think it would be better for francis to do that, because if not, you will always think that your cookies were undeserved.

Actually, that idea is better. I request you, Francis, that you should use Smithy's idea.

How about we reduce Plastic's cookies to 1 and an additional one for all the GIF's he's earned cookies for to make it more realistic?

I think we should just nuke the cookie feature all together and keep the 'report' button there.

I don't see why cookies shouldn't be handed out if someone thinks something is funny. Giving a cookie for a funny gif is just as constructive as giving one for a meaningful post... obviously, if the gif didn't have some kind of meaning to the person making it (humor, etc), they wouldn't make it.

Really, I don't think any changes have to be made, I just think all the people not getting cookies need to stop complaining, because it's not the end of the world. And it doesn't mean anyone dislikes you.
