The hell...? Number #1 didn't make any sense at all, I thought they reused Mario's voice from SM64 for most of the game. |

5. Everyone exploits mascots. Nintendo manages to do it well most of the time, so this isn't a good reason.
4. Yes, the Princess kidnapping story is getting old.
3. Bee Costume...That isn't a valid reason at all...
2. Although I don't think it ruined Mario, Luigi does need more prominent roles in games.
1. The problem isn't that they gave him a voice, it's that they never give him enough of a voice. Mario games would be a lot more engaging if the characters actually talked. We've seen Nintendo can do good voice work with MP3, so now they have no excuse. |

Maybe its the Mario fan in me speaking, but they really don't know what they are talking about.
edit: 4 makes a little sense, but if you were not rescuing the princess, guess who would be the first to bitch an moan.

I only agree with #2, but that doesn't ruin Mario at all. Luigi needs more games, but that doesn't mean telling Mario to *crag* off. |

They're obviously no worse than Paul, from Pokémon Diamond & Pearl, who only wanted a STRONG Fire Type, like Magmar, and dumped his Chimchar, so that Ash can train him like he trained Damien's Former Charmander! |
