Okay, this is crazy, Francis. It's stupid. People call a post "Quality" because they "lol'd" or they have a freaky internet crush on the person. (I'm looking at YOU, Fireice) They even cookie things that the poster didn't make! (I'm looking at YOU, whoever cookied Sherlock Luigi when Sandslash posted him)
Seriously, this is starting to get crazy. Please do something about this misuse of our "improved" post quality.
Oh, and you're not going to do anything about it if I don;t give a solution...
Replace cookies with he old Post quality, but make it so when you reduce post quality, it's still reported to you/a mod. That way, post quality isn't as important, and spammy .GIF's can earn all the points they apparently deserve without depriving the real quality posts.

Cookies are just bad. It's not really right when someone posts a picture and gets 12 cookies while some person who discovers the cure for cancer only gets one from the sole proper cookie giver. |

In the small time that I've been here, I kinda agree with that. I get tired of seeing a post with 10 cookies for a random .GIF.
I would also like see that Fireice would stop acting all "I'm gay for (insert member here) and want to marry them, lololo!" Kinda gets annoying. |

My, I was gonna do that thread tomorrow.
Anyway, yes. OT and RPOT should NOT have cookies allowed. Because plain stupid things get reward.
SSG's idea of choosing to disable cookies is nice too. It works specially at Your Creations, where the cookied thing can be a truly cookieworthy art, or just some epic gif. |
