What's your opinion on school? Seriously. I personally think it's hell. I mean, think about it. A bunch of kids get crammed together (and you know OVER 9000% of schools are overcrowded) in some building (usually neglected) with (usually inedible) cafeteria food. Sure, you get nice teachers your first few years, and fun classmates, easy work, time on the playground- but it becomes hell shortly afterwards. Hell, it might even become hell during the first few years. Eventually, it becomes a place where tedious work is forced down your throat at the expense of your very well-being in life later on, while you have to put up with mentally, emotionally, and physically violent kids. And the staff does next to nothing to protect you from it. I'm probably biased, but still. |

Don't get me started on middle school...
For four years, I was tormented by my classmates. In just 5th grade, there were two whole classes (30 students) picking on me, as well as some people older.
It became so bad that the student counciler wanted to kick me out of the school just so he wouldn't have to deal with all the kids! |

Heh. To be honest, school was all the bad firsts for me. The first place anyone actually hit me, teased me, punished me, or when I could get in trouble for messing up something I tried on. |

School is, IMPO, a joke, or the construction of the devil himself. According to most of my class"mates", I'm retarded, right? So let a mentally challenged man be free from a vile establishment, I beg for that! |

Overcrowded? Hell, my school, like most Michigan schools, is grossly underfunded, which screws us out of almost every kind of class/activity. Hell, it may end up closing next year. I usually have to deal with a bunch of drunken storers as classmates who socially isolate me, then try to act friendly to get help with their homework.
Basically, schools are neccesary, but public schools are fundamentally flawed beyond belief. |

I knew there was going to be a discussion about this. Let's see...
Elementary:
About 75% of the school kids there picked on me. It was over 100 kids vs. 1. I had no friends and the teachers didn't even try to solve the situation. Hell, even the PRINCIPAL was concerned of me because he was afraid I would start a school shooting. I showed no signs of anything involving student violence.
So, I was kicked out of my elementary school and I moved to another in 5th grade. It was even worse than my old school. I WAS EVEN ON A HIT-LIST! There was a list of 'people to kill' written in marker in one of the bathroom stalls and my name was under it. I was scared and I felt really unsafe.
Middle school:
Eh... the teachers were alright, but the kids were still shitty. Every two seconds, there would be a fight or some threat. I made a few friends here and there. Nothing much, but the work was hell.
High school:
Hello Cherry Hill East! Where about 70% of the school has kids from Camden city (a.k.a.: one of the most dangerous ghettos in the United States) and they think they are 'gangstas'. The teachers are as stupid as a turnip and the security sucks. Kids with drugs? Yep. Kids with knives or other stabbing objects? Yep. Kids who threaten to kill everyone in the school? Definately. This school is filled with these corrupted kids.
I'm still on someone's hit-list. Two kids tackled a security guard and beat the crap out of him. There were multiple bomb threats. There was even a murder near the baseball field. And everyday, there is a bloody fight.
Makes me wonder why my school isn't shut down yet? |

School has been miserable until junior year.
My group of friends the so called "geeks" Rule the school, as we have thrown stereotypes out the window.
We have friends in high places and we are always watching you...
Actually we aren't that powerful, But we do have essential control over the senior class. As a demonstration of our power Ian T. One of our groups friends ( who is rather goofy looking) Won the Superlative for best looking man in the school. |

Blar, he speaks the truth. A few things I would like to add. I am one of the most well-known kids in school, and I am very smart. People tease for this, and one time, I got so pissed off, I lost my cool and almost killed someone in the process. Because I help a lot of people, while proving them wrong in the process, they call me a genius. I think I have bad luck with partners, though. I get the worst partners, and I do all the work, while they copy off the notes I worked on for hours. In fact, the partner I have in Tech I class is so annoying. He just laughs at me for being smart, and calls me blimpy, when he literally weighs over 400 pounds, and I only weight 160. (Muscle included.) It's also the school system that gets me mad. They only give us 5 minutes to get to class, and for me, that is too short. I don't get to even talk to my friends before I have to run to my class. What really shits my shorts is that we get all the work, and all they do is sit and email each other, and maybe talk on the phone to other teachers for leisure. The building, and privileges, are so neglected. The hallways smell like piss, the lockers are small, we have to pay to use the bathroom, and we get limited (2) bathroom passes a semester. I have to piss really badly, I don't have a pass left, I get a detention for having a natural occurance happen to me. It's bull. Just thank God I have a science teacher that will let me go to the bathroom everyday, or else, the classroom floor would be covered in piss. The disciplinary actions suck here, too. I get a ISS for fighting back, while the person that started this gets a detention for starting it. I hate my school. If I was in charge, this would be a whole different story. |

At school, I'm an alien that no one wants to talk to. People only bother talking to me if they want me to buy them food or want answers for something. >__> Seriously, it's really messed up....everyone has their own little group of friends, and all they do is gossip about who's dating who, or who did some weird thing and should be hated for it....I swear, I'm the ONLY person in the school who doesn't have any real friends. .....and it's not like I'd want to be friends with any of the people at school anyways, most people are either wannabe gangsters or some popular kid, or is someone involved in sports or has no talents at all. Everything is a popularity contest. Even being smart is a popularity contest. Really...no one there can just learn to appreciate others. Seriously.
....I don't know how much longer I can wait until I'm out of middle school >___> And if high school isn't any better, I WILL make my parents let me go to a different school. |

I like going to school. I've never had problems with the people at my school, or with the school itself. |

My school sucks. It's old, it's about to fall apart, the staff sucks, and the only thing awesome is one of my favorite teachers (WHO THEY ARE GOING TO FIRE DUE TO BUDGET CUTS EVEN THOUGH HE'S EPIC. D:< )
Hario goes to my school, though, and I have him 5 periods a day in my classes. Still, it's horrible and I wish I went somewhere else. D: |
