My mom is Coast Salish (Native)/Icelandic, she couldn't get Metis status because of the new rules.
My dad is Sioux (Native)/French, he has Metis status.

I'm American, but my mom's family has Irish origins (like 15+ generations ago O_O) and I'm not sure about my dad.
One of my friends has a Japanese mother, and another of my friends has a Vietnamese father. And one of the teachers at my school is Japanese as well, and another came from the Blackfeet tribe. Very diverse school. |
