At my old school, I wasn't allowed to wear a shirt that showed my shoulders (note: just my shoulders; it was a long-sleeved turtleneck with just holes on the shoulders) because it 'expressed desire to dress more provocatively'. They let me wear it every year until I hit puberty.  |

None of the rules at my school are enforced unless they have to do with respecting the teachers or the building itself.
Seriously. I break the dress-code almost every day. My skirt is too short. No one cares.
Actually, everybody breaks the dress-code. No one cares.
Go ahead and skip class if you want. Personally, I don't, but, everyone else does.
Unless you're five feet away from a teacher, go ahead and nail that kid in the face.
In short... my school sucks. |

Same thing here. One time I was wearing an extremely low-cut lacy tank top and I got yelled at... wait for it... because my SHOULDERS WERE SHOWING!!! |

You can't wear hats or put up your hood in school. Pointless rule, but I never liked hats much anyway, so it doesn't really bother me.
Almost every site is blocked for no good reason, yet thousands of sites that should be blocked aren't. |

Oh...In mine there;s the ultimate loophole rule that allows you to use a handheld system ANYWHERE. Since you're only not allowed to plug your earphones in, and you can't play you handeld/MP3 in class, you actually are allowed to use it during class. No one cares. |

I found out about a new school rule today: No outside food during the (name of standardized test censor'd) because of nutritional blabety-blah. Now that's just mean. Oh, and the snacks keep getting smaller. Like on Monday, they gave out bags of Cheddar Chex Mix, but today, it was a tinyer-than-a-Small-Sammer-Guy packet of "Fruit Snack 'Ems".
Oh, and in history, I have to read a 700-page book about the Vietnam War for a project. |

A rule I wish this school had: Boys with earrings get benned.
I also wish that this school had more foreign language class options than just Spanish. If there were enough teachers to have more than one foreign language class, and they chose to teach Japanese, then I know a certain English teacher could be perfect for the job. After all, the teacher in question IS Japanese.
