Flavio disagrees, for reasons Flavio is not in the mood to state at the moment. |

In IRL jail, you're not let out with duct tape over your mouth and arms whenever you please, so why should Digi be any different? Supported. |

The only problem is, people in jail can just log out and see the rest of the forum anyway, just minus a few details. Otherwise, supported. |

Maybe Jail could be IP-wise? |

What if 2 people share the same computer i.e. siblings. Both wouldn't be able to see the forum :/ |

People in jail shouldn't be allowed to look at the forums.
We shouldn't jail IP-wise though, unless it's a bad repeat offender, just in case of the sibling issue. |

I like this idea, it makes jail harsher and people will be more afraid. |

No, here's an idea: Why don't YOU stop complaining about the consequences of breaking the rules, eh? This isn't kindergarten, Petey; you can't get away with breaking the rules here. I suggest just shutting up and not getting jailed, so you don't HAVE to not view the forums. |
I never got past that grade? ;_;
JK, I think just Off-topic and everything else than announcements should be left. But they could log out. Do it to the whole IP? SUPPORT`D. |

Firstly, the idea is support'd.
I have an idea to solve the 'siblings and the IP ban' issue. When one gets jailed, the jailed account is restricted only to the jail and can only see the jail, and the forum blocks the IP when it is logged out. However, the sibling can still login and see the forum.
It would need a bit of coding, but it's quite possible. Thoughts? |

I support this. And Gold's idea is excellent. Solves the IP issue nicely. |

That's a great idea! However, there is still one problem. The jailed user can just log out of their account so they appear as 'Guest' and see the forums. Unless we stop guests from seeing the forums >_>; Sorry that I have to keep screwing up this topic =P |

Even if jaled members are blocked from viewing the rest of the site, they can still use a LogOut() and then they can view the forums as Mr. Anonymous. (Except for The Underwhere and I think the RP forums. Those require a log in, don't they? I know The Underwhere does...) |

But that's why they're saying, ban by IP. Even if they log out, the forum still recognizes that it's their computer, and they still can't see it when logged out. They could find another computer to go on anonymously, but if they're that determined to see the forum then it's their own problem. o____O ... I can't imagine why anyone would go through such effort, personally.
But then, if we use Gold's idea, if there's a sibling in the house, they can still log in and use the forum. |
