It's always been like that. Coins aren't really important though, outside of the Black Market, or if you think they represent status as a VIP. |

Since Off-Topic and Role-playing Off-Topic are places for casual discussion and having fun as opposed to actually making content for something serious, they're gonna generate a lot more posts, as well as the fact that earning coins in casual areas would encourage a lot more spam. |
