...Go back to the original style.
The original site colors, the original forums...make everything the way it was when the site was born. Just for the day.
Who knows? Maybe people will get in the spirit of things and start acting the same way they did at the site's beginning... |

We should have a forum for the first 100 members.

Hm, I didn't see the forum, or experience any events from this era when it began. According to the lot of you, this happened to be the Golden Period for digibutter, right? This is all well and nice, but I see one flaw in requesting a brief distend to the past: None of the "newbies", "newfags", "n00bs" are "invited". All I'm seeing is elitist oldbie behavior being shot out like a cannon on steroids only for the purpose to gain a bit of nostalgia. Not that this is a major issue, but I don't see why it's necessary to mention the "first 100" of a certain group, or only members with a certain postcount to be able to do <blank>. Really, what's the point? Why can't everyone share the glory and joyousness? It really stumps me to see such pompous and pretentious behavior take place for only a certain reason.
Now, I haven't been here for that long (maybe an hour or so (truly), with gratis), but I'm swift to understand whatever is presented in front of me. Yes, I have been through the same situation as you. Yes, I am an oldbie; no, not here, but at the SRB2 community. No, I have not taken the same action as you oldbies have. I understand your longing for the Golden days of digibutter, but you have to realize something: No amount of want and/or need for anything involving the course of time will ever bring it back permanently, or exactly as it was. Eventually the Golden days pass; they do not last forever. The newbies will still be newbies. Over time, newbies will become oldbies, and more newbies will join. The Golden years where it was just a small, tight clique of buddies will never recur, because as soon as this cycle starts, it cannot be stopped in a favorable manner. At this rate, I have degenerated into ranting, but not complete derailing. What I've said still pertains to the matter at hand.
Yes, you can still love the Golden Era, you can still long for it, you can still remember it, and you can stick with the people from that time, but eventually, it changes. There's nothing wrong with having these feelings, but without realization of the fact that you can never truly go back in time, no matter what the form is, it will only end in psychosomatic ruptures if the oldbies are to take control of this relatively minor event. To put it bluntly: Do what you wish, but share it. Don't keep it to yourselves, oldbies: Share it. Do that, and you'll experience this era in a new form, but one that dwindles on the line of your mind that represents your remembrance of the one you wish to have again. By doing this, you make another Golden Era, and newbies become oldbies, and newbies continue joining. Thus, the cycle starts again.
So anyway, what was so special about this place when it first started? |

Tyler is the only one that suggested that, and he is what we call our "Resident Dick." You see, his job is to make people feel better by posting stupid things that make people laugh or embrace a more positive additude. I was merely agreeing with him so as to amplify the effect.
Needless to say, if their are any festivites than Franis will make them open to everyone. At least most likely. |

We just liked the way people acted in character. The majority of the members at the begging had references to Paper Mario characters. Nothing really. |

I see. That would explain all of the technicaaality~ at this moment. Paper Mario has gotten a bit slow, though. Super Paper Mario was the last one to come out, and I'm sure everyone who started playing it has beaten it by now... Well, considering the pattern of which Paper Mario is being released (One on N64, One on GCN, One on Wii...?), we might have to wait a long while to get a new one. Until then, Paper Mario just isn't as fresh as it used to be. =(
The Golden Era does sound like it was a lot of fun, though. |

It was. I started a sabotage group against HERO and got some of their members kicked from the group by making false screenies of PMs. We can't do that anymore though since we can't make alt accounts. That was awesome though. |

This sounds like a wonderful idea, I'd love to have a chance to visit that past part of Digibutter, if only for a while. |
