Well, good luck to the selected four. If any of you do actually become mods though, try not to loose any of your ROMANCE! THRILLS! EMOTION! and MONEY! |
Flavio, I won't lose any.
And if I do, can I borrow some of yours? |
No, ROMANCE! THRILLS! EMOTION! and MONEY! are all matters of personal responsibility. |
Figures.
At least I still have that Flurrie's Melons Token. |

I don't know why people think I'm biast. Sure I don't talk to you outside the forums, but I read almost every single post made here, at least outside of RPOT and OT. And even then I read a majority of those. I don't take the decesion of who should be a mod lightly.
I'd approve of Lord Bowser. He acts like an idiot, but you can tell he is just one of those people that is actually really reliable under all that. That's what makes him an awesome member. |

Um... even though I only joined around november, I might aswell try...
I would like to become a mod. I can hand down punishment but not too much punishment. I also noticed that at a certain time when I mainly come on, there is no mod that is active during that time. If I became a mod, I could take care of that time. I've never had a strike and never been banned.
There. I don't think I'll get mod though but it's ok. |

It's a tough call. Lord Bowser is extremely helpful when he posts, and has said many very motivational things that many of us have taken to heart. Sure, he ACTS like a cheapskate asshole at times, but that's just him being in-character, which is one of the reasons why we all love him. He is an excellent member and candidate. On the other hand, Nastasia seems to be another "likely result", she is a good person who abides by the rules. M'aiq does not think he has seen her break a rule at all, unless posting threads about how you feel is against the rules. She does not seem to be the type who would abuse this position, and she has a record of experience with moderation. Sorry to admit, though, M'aiq just does not see the same qualities in SA or Twytch. |

I didn't get to post here yesterday because my Internet was down for almost all of the day.
I would like to be a moderator.
I've been here since May, and I've yet to get a single strike. The only spam/noobiness I've ever done was back when my post count was still about 600, and I was still Dark Giga Spiked ParaMuth. That was like, a year ago, and my grammar is way better now, I almost never use smilies, and I never double post. I read a ton of posts and am online a lot. I haven't been online as much because of Brawl, but I still spend about half my day here. I lurk a lot, and I don't care about post count at all. I don't really like RPing that much, so I almost never go to RPOT, but I'll go there to moderate if I become a moderator. I'm one of the few people who still uses items that much, and I own a highly succesful, low-profit usershop. I'm not biased against or towards any users here. I could care less whether the rule-breaker is Lord Bowser, Hario, Plastic Mario, yoshiface12, MALAK, Maya Fey, LudwigVonKoopa, or anybody else. It doesn't matter how good their grammar is, how annoying they are, or whether they've done epic things or not, I still strike/lock things with absolutely no bias. If I were to become a moderator, I'd finish up my new set of rules (that I forgot to finish due to boredom, laziness, and Brawl) and PM them to Francis.
I'd also make an end to all this pointless flooding in OT, and I'd delete a lot of flooding threads (or, if mods can't delete posts like I've heard, move them to the Crime Lab), instead of just leaving them there, locked. I would strike most of the flooding threads, unless it turns out that the topic isn't absolute crap. For instance, if there was a "I LOST THE GAME LOL" flood, I wouldn't delete a topic like "I LOST THE GAME D:" that turns out that inside they actually are sad/mad about losing on a really hard boss in a game when the boss only had a little HP left, or something like that. Basically, any flooding thread that actually has a point, I wouldn't strike.
In conclusion, I'd make a fine candidate for moderator, and hope I am at least considered.
Oh, and as for the current list, I think Nastasia and Twytch would make good moderators. As for LB, he isn't very active lately and almost never posts. |

I suppose I will throw my hat/sunglasses/whatever I have on into the ring, as well.
To start, I do not think that I have any real enemies on Digibutter. From what I have been told and who I talk to, I am well-liked by most members, along with a decent sense of humor to boot... noone has ever told me otherwise. I am always easy to get along with, with the newer members and veterans alike. I have never been striked, even flamed anyone... whenever I get pissed off, I usually put it in a way so it gets the point across but doesn't come off as offensive. Sure, I have been involved in a flood once or twice, but I have good self-discipline and can cut that bit out easily. On the opposite side of that, I am a consoling and supportive person, as a few people on MSN would agree. I am good at letting people vent to me, and having someone listening usually helps people in all situations.
As for using Mod powers, I have had two years of experience with leadership skills from my time as the officer of a sucessful guild in Guild Wars and the Forums it goes along with. I have always been a fair, unbiased leader, handing out punishments to all levels of the members on an equal basis not depending on how long or how popular they are. I have a sense of balance on Digibutter too, so while I admit I do spend a deal of time in RPOT, I still pay attention and post in OT on a regular basis. As a Mod, I would never be biased towards one forum or another, and the same applies for members, new and old. Biased punishments are one thing that irk me, so I would avoid it like the Plague.
Combined with the leadership and help starting off new Nerrs who buy Guild Wars I am putting towards the Digibutter GW Guild, I would say I would make a fair, balanced choice for Mod. I mean sure, I spend a decent chunk of my time in RPOT, but writing is the primary was that I express myself. And for the post count thing, it's not how many posts you have, it's the content that matters.
Thanks for hearing out my semi-wall o' text. |

Bored, so I'll post how I feel about the other candidates.
I have a feeling Lord Bowser was joking. Francis would have modded him by now if he really wanted the job, because he is pretty mature behind all the Bowser he puts in front of us.. He's not nearly as active as we all wish he was, though.
I personally can't say that I have anything against Nastasia, so I'd be content if she won, too, I guess. She's been in a pretty tough mental state, aparently, so I'm wondering if the depression she seems to suffer from would interfere. Still, I'd be happy to see her as a mod.
Twytch has experience, but I'm sure he's been jailed in the past. I'm not sure personally if I could trust him, but he'd probably make a change.
And that SA guy sounds like a sexy beast SA is a jerk I've also had experience as a mod before (Big surprise), not much, enough to no the difference between power abuse and power usage. It was at a pretty small community, though... |

I've only been jailed once- for an hour, and for something that I did in a dead forum that didn't impact the site at all. From what I've seen, you're already acting like you've gotten the job of mod. Don't we have to wait for Francis and the Mods to announce it? |

Does it hurt to be hopeful?
I'm sure I'll lose, I just hope I'll win so I can be a little bit less useless here.
You, Nastasia, and Lord Bowser have a much better chance than me due to popularity/experience. I WANT to win. Is that so bad? |

I really don't understand why you guys are writing big walls of text. :/ You shouldn't have to point out your good traits, they should already be acknowledged. |

I don't understand why you people think that saying "LOLZ I'VE BEEN A MOD BEFORE" is going to get you a jobe. First off, we don't judge on that because it would be extremely stupid, and secondly you fail to provide links. Moderating on a small Invisionfree forum experience does not equal. |
