Currently you can only earn *NEW* coins by posting. This is a problem, because it encourages spamming and puts those who don't post a lot at a disadvantage.
So I have a few ideas for earning coins:
1. Earn 'X' amount of coins per day just for logging in.
2. Games (I will give you coins to use as prizes in your forum games).
3. Raffle (buy tickets for a few coins, win a big item)
4. Paid content, like video game reviews (the more popular the post, the more money you get).
5. Weekly Random Awards (like in Mario Party)
- least amount of posts, most items used, most coins donated, last digits in your score equals the day of the month, etc...

I agree with 3, 4 and 5.
1 isn't really fair for some. Especially those who chose "Remember Me". They stay logged it. Who wants to log out and log back in just to earn some coins?

I also agree with 3, 4, & 5.
2 could become abused; people might start rigging games to keep coins in their circle. |

What about an arcade?
Some forums have them.
You'd get some coins based on your score and the top 10 people for each game could win some coins each day(scores are reset each day). |

Also, bonus coins when you reach 100 posts, 200, 300, ect. And a free item at every 1000 posts. |
