How do you consider new characters unnecessary? Would you rather the whole game to be the same thing nintendo pooped out on the first installment? If so that is what sounds unnecessary. New characters make it exciting, and they are NOT ALL THE SAME. So you're making a big deal over development, which is really pointless. |

Also, some filler characters were promotional, like Rosalina and Dry Bowser. Some others were utterly filler *pointing at Baby Daisy*. |
Hell, R.O.B. practically saved gaming itself. |

At the time of Petey Piranha's entry to Mario Kart, he was only a minor boss from a single game...unless my memory's horrible and Toadstool Tour came first. In which case, he was only a minor boss upon his entry to Toadstool Tour.
But...no love for Petey, or King Boo for that matter. (He's IN the game and no one talks about him...how sad...) |
