About the create-your-own usergroups, there should be a 50-500 coin price to prevent people from making too many usergroups. Having about 15 groups could be epicly chaotic, but 60 would be too much.
And, if we do have create your own usergroups, we should have it so members have to be accepted, with no limits on number of usergroups they're in. However, Usergroup leaders would have to be strict in who they accept, a Usergroup with an unfriendly or uncertain relationship with another group wouldn't accept a user from that group.
If we do User-Usergroups, I'm so making U.L.T.I. (still thinking about what it stands for. Undeniably Lethal Team of Insanity would be nice.) |

If people could be in multiple usergroups, the whole flag and trophy ideas wouldn't really work out particularly well.
I say stick with the original four, and MAYBE add in a few others for some more variety. |

Seems like we need two different things... groups and clans.
You can be a member of multiple groups but only one clan.
Maybe someone can come up with some more Mario-friendly terminology, clan is "teh mature".

So, members could start up social groups themselves, but clans are limited and un-changeable? That sounds great. : D

I had an idea that the four regular clans (usergroups) could remain the same, and then users could create the groups. The groups can have a digilegiance with one of the four regular clans, if they so choose so. They might be filled in with a bit of news from the clan that they are affiliated with.
This could be a temporary idea, for the clans. Each of the four clans, can own a piece of the Bitlands. (There can be a large map showing which places a clan owns). A different clan could move into the other person's land, and fight them to gain a small piece of their sector. Once a clan has no more land, they basically can keep their usergroup but can't do anything else but that. |
