Really, you're looking at this site like a project rather than a community...
If you're in a building, and in one area of the building people decide to write graffiti on the walls, you don't DESTROY THAT SECTION OF THE BUILDING... you clean the walls!
Think about what we're doing here. We don't need to alter, destroy, merge, or split off-topic. We might need to clean it up a tad bit... but all that takes is a little bit of the MODS doing their JOBS. |

Like I said, you didn't even read my post in page one of this topic.
The MODS DO THEIR JOB, BUT IT IS HARD TO DO THE JOB BECAUSE OT IS THE MOST ACTIVE FORUM ON THIS BOARD, THEREFORE MAKING IT DIFFICULT TO LOOK AFTER OT, WHAT WITH SO MANY TOPICS BEING REPLIED ALL AT ONCE. THATS WHY I HAD THE SUGGESTION OF FUSING GD/OT WITH ADDING NEW RULES TO MAKE IT LESS CLUTTY.
Separating also makes things easier, think about it. Easier to moderate, isn't that what you want?
And the serious discussion forum...nah I am not going into that. |

It doesn't matter who agrees with me and who doesn't. This is just me saying what I feel needs to be said. Francis has the final decision. If he decides to ruin the site, then it's fine. |

I say we make a whole new forum for these "Light discussers". Everyone else here is fine with Off Topic except those who want light discussion. Theres no need to *crag* with a perfectly fine forum just because a few lighties don't like the way things are going in there. We could call this new forum "General Chat" since most people who are complaining about Off Topic have had most of there serious topics derailed by the Off Topicers crazy shenigans and there in that new forum that wouldn't happen without receiving a strike for it. Or better yet pipe down GD a bit so people can elborate on more subjects without things being so serious. |

Even though he probably won't divide up Off-Topic, how would he ruin the site by doing so? There's a difference between dividing up an inefficient, overly-large forum that gets most of the site's activity and leaves the rest of the forums dull and ruining the site. Off-Topic should not be the main reason why people come to digibutter, nor should RPOT be. I wouldn't be against keeping Off-Topic if it weren't so large (Like how many other fan sites don't let their OTs take up so much of the site's attention), but it is definitely too big. |

SSG, having fun and being silly is NOT the same as spam, and we should DEFINITELY not have that restricted to just the C-Box. Casual Discussion should allow for just that, Casual Discussion. We should be allowed to fool around and have fun there, like normal, non-spammy OT posts. |
