Kept talking to my supervisor about random stuff (mostly about our pets and what we did on the weekend). For an hour.
Ow.
I don't talk this much usually... Ow.
On the plus side, I got LostWinds and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: My Life as King. LW is fun. Its like a cross between Wind Waker, Sonic (Genesis games' level setup with better-than-Heroes graphics), and Samba de Amigos (for the ponchos). Thank Goodness there's multiple save files or my brother might had tried to play my save file and messed things up. Shame that FFCCMLaK has only one save-file... That game's like Sims, Dark Cloud, and (naturally) a Final Fantasy game all in one. I want more space, though... MY KINGDOM FOR A DECENT LOOKING PARK!
In other news, I'm contemplating taking on the role of one of the SPM characters. |

I hate SimCity, I find it very boring. However, I love Final Fantasy. But I am not a Final Fantasy "Fanboy" as in I don't know allot about it and I only played a few games. Specifically Final Fantasy IV, V, VI, and VII.
Do you think that I would possibly enjoy MLaaK? |

I said 'Sims' not SimCity. I suppose that RollerCoaster Tycoon might be closer to the 'NPC emotion' thing, although its on a more personal level.
When I said Final Fantasy, I meant this only in the 'fighters fighting FF:CC enemies', though you yourself do not take part in the fighting. You tell people to go do it for you. They always seem to come back alive, so your main worries are 1) Gold Coins and Elementia, 2) morale, 3) building stuff, and 4) bossing your adventures around (these guys get the Elementia for you, with which you build stuff). Oh! And 6) Figuring out who to hire and what class (when you have the specific buildings) you want them to be. Havn't hit any other stuff yet. Then again, I'm putting off the plot-event.
I recommend it, though it might not be to everyone's taste. Should I feel like it, I might buy some of the add-ons... |

I know that SimCity is a city-builder, but it doesn't give you the same level of intimacy you have with your citizens that MLaaK does. The Sims, bear in mind, has a 'thought-bubble emotion' setup which allows you to see what the person is thinking about. RollerCoaster Tycoon has a 'speech-bubble emotion' that allows you to see whether the person is happy, sick, annoyed, ect. MLaaK has a similiar thing that RollerCoaster does.
Just remembered Dungeon Keeper 2. That builder-setup, though the game was stragegy, was similiar to what I'm trying to say about MLaaK's builder-setup. Except you don't claim-land. DK2 lets you possess a random person (usually so you can go FPS mode and fight, but I do it sometimes as a imp to claim a land far off or possess a chicken for fun), while in MLaaK, you are always the King.
In any case, I love this game much more than I ever cared for SimCity or Dungeon Keeper 2 (and I loved Dungeon Keeper 2). |
