I accidentally got some water inside of my right Joy Con when cleaning off sunscreeny-hand-grease, and the buttons on it stopped working. Funnily enough, the best solution was just throwing it on the floor a few times. Thankfully there doesn't appear to be any permanent damage.

TheEvilShadoo | reply to ambient Turns out the R button may be permanently broken unless I can find a tri-wing screwdriver and open up the Joy Con. Still, that's not too bad. |
rain | reply to TheEvilShadoo respectfully. how did you get to the point where you were throwing it on the floor. a few times. |
TheEvilShadoo | reply to rain I looked it up, and I found it to be a pretty common solution. I don’t have a tri-wing screwdriver, so I couldn’t open it up, but this was able to knock some contact point back into place. |
