It's funny, cause I was just having this conversation last night. What would you say Super Mario games are, for those that don't play? In my eyes, Mario titles are 100% pure gaming fun. They are almost all gameplay and pure mechanics. Run, jump, repeat. There's more to it than that, but at it's core is a simple joy that no other series matches.
