your parents are too crazy to buy you a 20 year old system that has a good chance of not even running just from pure age
gee I wonder why

I always wondered what it is like to play games created before you were born. DKC was a big deal when it came out, but not sure why people would want to play it now. Do you get the same sense of "wow, this game is awesome" or is it like "meh, these graphics suck. DKCR is so much better"

I mean I've played lots of games that came out before I was born, but i think it has a lot to do with WHEN you were born. If you were born into the last generation or this generation of games, then yeah old games look like crap to you, but if you were born during the 16-64 bit era you were probably used to games looking that way. NES games don't look that amazing to me and the controls seem a bit stiff in comparison to those of the n64, but I don't notice much of a graphical or standard of design gap between the games before and after I was born.
