This Wednesday, January 11th will see yet another enormous update to PlayStation Home, with new games to play, a massive expansion to one of our most popular titles, and tons of collectible items. For starters, our friends over at Digital Leisure are opening the doors to their all-new Casino game space. Many of you have been asking for more casino-styled games since the launch of PlayStation Home Hold ‘Em and we’re proud to serve up an extremely elegant game space plucked straight from the Strip with all of the fun of a Vegas vacation without the high cost of admission.

From Blackjack and Poker and Casino War to Big Six Wheel and Keno and Slots, we’ve got you covered no matter what your game of choice is. Of course, no PlayStation Home game would be complete without some seriously awesome rewards, so Digital Leisure decided to add over 100 of them, including clothing, furniture, and even a luxury hotel room befitting the highest of high rollers (not that you’ll be doing much sleeping once the Casino releases…) Pick up your chips from the Casino’s cashier and let it ride. Those of you that arrive early will get comped some sweet goods just for stopping by!

The much-anticipated Indie Park will open to all NA players come this Wednesday, January 11th. This huge game space is an expansion of the popular Pier Park and is crammed with bite-sized games showcased by a wide variety of independent game developers such as VEEMEE and nDreams. Indie Park launches with the following games:

Espionage 9

Espionage 9 is an addictive one- or two-player game where players place agents around the globe to carry out top-secret missions and take out enemies in a tense battle of spies and saboteurs. With several challenges and unique rewards, Espionage 9 is the perfect game for anyone who dreams of world domination through global subversion.

Los Penguini Brothers

Hit the slopes in Los Penguini Brothers, a wildly entertaining game that proves that penguins can fly (with the right encouragement, of course). Accelerate down the ski-ramp and fly through the air collecting as many bonus items as possible, then pull your parachute and glide down to the perfect landing on both static and moving targets to unlock lots of fantastic rewards.

Savage Cosmos

This single player arcade game is a top-down, run and gun shooter that includes over 40 rooms/levels to explore, 15 unlockable medals, leader boards, and a host of special rewards. Grab your X1VM Plasma Rifle and enter the doomed SS Cosmos ship where hordes of alien combatants dedicated to your destruction await you. Will you be able to fend off the onslaught and escape the ship in time or will you succumb to the horrors that lie within?

Gnome Curling

At last, a developer has matched my two biggest passions in life – curling and garden gnomes! Select from a variety of these impish little creatures and compete for a range of prizes. As the saying goes, there truly is No Place like Gnome (err…Home!) so log in this week and test your skills in this hilarious new game.

That’s not all – we’re also including community favorites such as Echochrome, Ice Breaker, Checkers and Chess in the new Indie Park. Log in this Wednesday to experience a wide range of fun, independent games in Indie Park, available only in PlayStation Home.

It’s a mighty fine week to be a full-on sci-fi freak like me, with a huge expansion to the Novus Prime universe coming in the form of Novus Prime: Vindication. This update brings more missions, ships, weapons, avatar items, and outfits along with a raised level cap (30) and tons of new rewards. Check out the trailer and then be sure to log in tomorrow to join the fight!

And if Novus Prime: Vindication doesn’t sate your appetite for all things intergalactic, you can head to the Estates store in the PlayStation Home Mall and pick up the newest addition to our long line of personal spaces – The Nebula Air Ship. This futuristic residence soars up to 30,000 feet above the rest of the PlayStation Home world and comes complete with a gifting machine (as an added bonus, players that own three or more sections of the PlayStation Home Mansion will find an exclusive golden chair inside the Nebula Air Ship). Take a tour of the Nebula Air Ship when it releases this Wednesday and then pick up your very own, along with the stylish Nebula Air Ship furniture (sold separately), and take to the skies!

Of course, no week would be complete without an update to the PlayStation Home Mall. This week we have new additions to Mass Media’s Weird Wear line, a series of animated glowing furniture perfect for your next party, more Urban Camo items from Konami, new Drey clothing items from Lockwood, and more! Add these items to your PlayStation Home collection when they release this Wednesday, January 11th.
