For what it gives you, however, and particularly on a game-starved Wii U, Pikmin 3 is still a success. I find myself wanting more, but that's because the game has offered me so much already that I feel shortchanged without more time spent in these captivating little gardens. I'm not entirely sure why this game took nine years, but I'm glad it's here. I hope the Wii U makes it through, because experiences like this are a breath of fresh air in the modern gaming industry.
