I'm a little concerned that Nintendo is outsourcing this... I'm afraid it will just be the same ole iphone games but with a Mario skin. When instead we could have a port of Professor Layton or something like Kirby Mass Attack

"Our new business alliance with DeNA consists of two parts. One is to jointly develop and operate gaming apps that use Nintendo IP, for smart devices. The other is to build together Nintendo’s new online membership service."

I think this is just Nintendo plating an oil rig in the mobile market, so to speak. No, I don't doubt for a second they don't give two *crag*s about quality. They know people with iPhones buy literally anything, they just want a piece of that cake for some extra money. Make no mistake, this outreach is purely for suckers. For all those neglected brats who got an iPhone and mommy's credit card thrown at them.

echo that, and add to it the fact that they took express care to announce a currently conceptual piece of hardware just to confirm that they had no intent of leaving or giving ground in the hardware market. I honestly would be surprised if Nintendo left the hardware market at this point. The Wii U had a lot of reasons it didn't do well, but success comes with deficits just as much as it does rewards. You can't expect lightening to strike every single time, any company Nintendo's age knows this well, hence why Iwata wasn't kicked out the moment the Wii U didn't meet the same peaks as its predecessor.
