Deep Silver put out a trailer announcing Saints Row IV (that’s FOUR to you people who can’t read Roman) yesterday! It launches on 20th August 2013 in the US and 23rd August 2013 in the boring parts of the world. Me and Ye Olde Man Gillen had a look at it with a cynical eye, KG’s cat gently humping him on the leg throughout.

Saints Row IV has been confirmed, given a release date and an insane debut trailer.

Behold robots, guitar case guns, super powers, Tron-style light cycles and more in this announcement trailer for Saints Row IV.

Saints Row 4 has received an August 20 release date, publisher Deep Silver has just announced. We are told that Saints Row 4 is not simply the Saints Row 3 "Enter the Dominatrix" standalone expansion in a different wrapper.

"That expansion was cancelled and elements of it were rolled into SRIV," a spokesperson for publisher Deep Silver tells Joystiq. "There will be a director's cut of Enter the Dominatrix released as DLC when SRIV comes out."

THQ has announced that the planned DLC expansion to Saints Row the Third, Enter the Dominatrix will now be incorporated into Saints Row 4.

Saints Row: The Third hasn't even been released, but THQ's Danny Bilson is already talking about the next installment. Bilson says that developer Volition is already working on Saints Row 4, and that the game promises to push the limits even further...
