Moreso than shotguns, orange juice or even Servbot masks, mankind's most valuable resource in the event of a zombie apocalypse is its humanity, or so claims this trailer for Techland's most recent foray into interactive undead fiction, Dying Light.

Dying Light is akin to Techland's earlier Dead Island in that both are first-person action games set in the ruins of civilization following an outbreak of hungry corpses. Dying Light, however, adds new wrinkles to this formula, such as a realistic day-night cycle and parkour-esque acrobatic maneuvers useful for navigating the crumbling world.

Despite these mechanical novelties, the above trailer instead chooses to focus on a more intellectual angle, a strategy that has become a trademark for Techland. In 2011, the developer rocketed to fame with the release of a maudlin, melodramatic trailer for Dead Island that focused less on the gore of ambulatory dead people and more on the despair felt when watching a loving family torn apart - in this case, literally.

Iron Galaxy Studios announced that its one-hit kill fighting game parody Divekick is coming to the Xbox One and PlayStation 4 with a number of changes and balance-adjusting tweaks in tow.

Divekick Addition Edition adds blind select for ranked matches, and introduces optional d-pad input for menus in addition to the game's traditional two-button setup. Every character in the game has also seen an array of stat adjustments, ranging from slight speed tweaks to major overhauls.

One character, The Baz, has changed so significantly that he has since been rechristened New Baz by Divekick's developers, and now boasts higher jumps and expanded Kick Factor abilities. The full list of changes is available here.

Divekick Addition Edition is also coming to the PlayStation 3, PS Vita, and Steam, and will be available as a free update for players who already own the original Divekick. A release date has not been announced.

Surprise, Joystiq Streams fans. We've got a double dose of streaming action this Thursday. Our very own Xav de Matos, Joystiq's Feature Content Director, is streaming a little game made by Respawn Entertainment called Titanfall. The multiplayer mech shooter is now in beta testing and Xav is going to put it through its paces on Xbox One. He already spent a chunk of time with the game as documented in our Titanfall video preview and now he'll be honing those skills further.

Microsoft dished out two videos that offer players some tips on Titanfall ahead of the game's beta, which starts tomorrow. The first video glosses over the game's basic mech-like Titan functions and elaborate on ways players can use the Titans effectively within combat. Additionally, it provides a few pointers for the parkour-like locomotion elements in the game, such as hanging on walls by holding the left trigger. The second video, found after the break, tours the game's three modes and their rules.

Microsoft is patching the Xbox One's controller input to make it less twitchy, at the request of the Titanfall development team.

Garry Newman and his team at Facepunch Studios recently reached the milestone of more than a million copies sold of their hit survival game Rust, and what better way to celebrate than to make that number even bigger by bringing the game to consoles?

While nothing's set in stone, Newman recently tweeted that not only do he and his team have Xbox Ones to tinker with, but that they're considering porting the game to both Microsoft and Sony's next-gen consoles. In response to Kotaku asking whether Newman was considering the Xbox One or the PS4, Newman tweeted, "A bit of both. Neither have an Early Access program [as far as I know] - so anything we do is a while off."

CI Games showed Lords of the Fallen gameplay to us at last year, but only behind closed doors, and it's kept things that way since. Up until now that is, because the Polish studio is finally ready to present the public with footage of its PS4, Xbox One and PC action-RPG.

The video is narrated by Executive Producer Tomasz Gop, who you might recognize as the producer of CD Projekt's The Witcher 2. Gop goes into the dark fantasy backstory that Lords of the Fallen is built around, but focuses mainly on the aspect that caught our attention when we first saw the game: the combat. Gop explains how the duel-like fighting rewards players who employ careful, tactical physical attacks, but also makes room for "spectacular" magic spells when they're needed.

"You can imagine Lords of the Fallen as a game that has all the layers, all the complexity, all the mechanics, all the elements of very advanced tactical combat," Gop told us when we saw the game last year, "but it's not being mindlessly punishing at the same time."

Lords of the Fallen is still in pre-alpha, but it's nonetheless slated to hit later this year. For our thoughts on what we saw of it last year, check out our preview.

Joystiq's latest video preview explores the multiplayer-only world of Titanfall, the first game from developer Respawn Entertainment. Watch as Xav attempts to survive the onslaught of other eager pilots, utilizing giant mechs with devastating weaponry and the fancy footwork involved when a player's mechanical pal isn't quite ready to join the fray.

Titanfall is coming to the Xbox One and PC on March 11 from Respawn and on the Xbox 360 on March 25 from developer Bluepoint Games. Players can sign up for a beta happening later this month on Xbox One and PC.

Though the game is being published by EA, Respawn's Justin Hendry reminded Joystiq that the game will use Microsoft's cloud for its online structure, doing away with some of our fears that Titanfall will see a similarly shaky launch as Battlefield 4.
