Chapter 27 – Memories…

“Dear diary:
He hasn’t come back yet. It has been years since he left. The village seems so lonely without him, it’s so sad. I want him back; don’t let the sea take him. I have a mortal disease as you know, and the only thing I want right now…Is to say good bye.”

The army was huge. Thousands and thousands of spirits stood in front of them. They were doomed.

Cortez: So now Mario, are you ready for a fight?
Mario: Cortez! Give me back my brother!
Cortez: I’m afraid that that’s not possible. You’re brother is in my possession now. I own him!
Mario: Excuse me? He’s my brother! Now give it back!
Bobbery: You heard him!
Cortez: Oh you bet I did. Now my precious army, get ready! FIGHT!

The whole army began to attack. Mario could barely defend him self, but at least he could. Bobbery was a huge help, as a bob-omb he could explode himself and kill a few spirits. But that was not enough; they needed a lot of help. And suddenly…A miracle occurred.

Yoshi: Go! Go! Go!

A huge army of bob-ombs and yoshis were running toward the spirits. They were really determined.

Yoshi: Mario, are you ok?
Mario: Y-Yoshi?
Yoshi: Yes, I’ve come to help. I don’t know why but I heard you in my head calling for help. Every day I kept hearing you in my head until I saw you with Daisy on the shore. She told me that something wrong was about to happen and she told me to follow you. And now somehow you’re not in my head anymore.
Mario: Daisy? Well, I must get to the Black Skull!
Yoshi: I will go with you. Cortez is pretty strong.
Bobbery: Yes, me too!

The 3 headed to the Black Skull where they will finally defeat Cortez…Or not?

Chapter 28 – A big surprise…

“Dear diary:
I went outside today. The very first time during 12 years; and I must say it was wonderful. I didn’t last long though, when I saw those roses I remembered about him. He loved roses…I was thinking about what my mother had said; when she had promised to stop my relationship with my love…Where is he? Where is my love? I won’t last long…”

Mario opened the door of the pirate’s ship. It was all so old; full of spider webs.

Yoshi: It’s there!

He pointed at a large red door. It had golden figures by each side. They looked like skulls.

Mario: I hope Luigi is here…
Bobbery: I hope we can beat him…

They opened the large door and there he was…Cortez standing next to Luigi who apparently was unconscious.

Cortez: What!? But how!? My army was huge!
Yoshi: So was ours!
Cortez: Well then this is it! Get ready to die fools!

One of Cortez many hands grabbed Yoshi and threw him at the wall. The ship tilted. Mario grabbed his hammer and punched his left arm.

Cortez: Ouch! You won’t stop what I’ve already created!

Cortez grabbed his sword and used it again Mario. He evade it. And used his hammer. Cortez was getting angrier; he used his tail of hard-bones and kicked Bobbery. Before he could do anything he was knocked down in the floor. Then Yoshi grabbed some of his eggs and threw them at Cortez. And finally Mario ended the battle by punching Cortez tail.

Cortez: Nooooo!!!

But he didn’t vanish. Nor die. He was still there.

Cortez: Oh you silly Mario, I can’t die. Don’t you remember the last time?
Mario: Oh no!

Cortez used his tail and knocked Mario then Yoshi.

Cortez: Victory is mine!

When he was about to kill the 3 a sparkling light appear in the room. It became bigger and bigger until they could finally see what was going on.

Merlon: We the ancients gave you life as we also give you death. We ancients have you in our power, your blood, your soul. We release you from eternal life and jail you with suffer. Free now soul with no destiny.

Cortez from a sudden began to burn himself up. He screamed in pain and suffer. Blood came out from his bones, he was a human again. Then he burned up and the light was gone.

Yoshi: W-we did it…We killed him!
Bobbery: Yes, with Merlon’s help.
Mario: Luigi!
He ran towards his brother who was still unconscious. He began to wake up.

Mario: Luigi! Brother! Wake up…
Luigi: Huh? Luigi? Brother?
Mario: Bro?
Luigi: Where am I? And who are you? And who am I?

Chapter 29 – Pirates!

“Dear diary:
This is my last time writing to you, tomorrow at morning I will be dead. Not by the disease, but from love. I’ve decided to kill myself; there’s nothing else I care now. I wanted him to know I loved him so much and I will never stop loving him. He had said once that he would come back soon as rich as a pirate. I never cared about money…It was no greed; It was love. I want him to know that I’ve quit this life for him. For ever and ever my love Cortez, in the date of March 10/1978 I have decided to commit suicide with the promise of waiting for you for ever.”

When the crew arrived at the Mushroom Kingdom, everything seemed normal. Everybody waved at they’re arrival, even Daisy was there waving with joy. When everybody knew about Luigi’s problem they had to take him to a doctor which would help him to remember. Daisy had left Bowser’s castle with tears in her eyes but ended with a huge smile of joy as she saw Mario arrive…

They all went to celebrate at Mario’s pad. It was full of food and friends. They were all celebrating.

Mario: Cheers!
Yoshi: It’s so glad to be home…
Daisy: Yes it is! We missed you so much.
Toadsworth: Oh yes we did! And…There’s something I need to tell you…
Mario: What? Bad news?
Toadsworth: Well when you weren’t here I sig-…
Daisy: He made a fabulous party at the castle wishing your return. Isn’t he wonderful?
Mario: Wow, thanks Toadsworth.

Toadsworth stood up. He looked at Daisy.
Toadsworth: Excuse us.
Daisy: Be right back.

They went right in the kitchen.

Toadsworth: Why did you lie? You know what I did was wrong.
Daisy: Yes, but Mario has suffered so much…
Toadsworth: You’re right…

Ding Dong…

Daisy: I’ll get it!

She ran to the door and opened it. When she did she collapsed.

Kammy: Mom’s here.

Chapter 30 – Remember…

Everybody was in a relief as dinner concluded. It was pretty uncomfortable to eat with Kammy and knowing she is Daisy’s mother. As dinner ended all the guests began to leave and another day ended…Well just for Mario.

Doctor toad: Okay Luigi, tell me what you remember.
Luigi: Nothing. Well…
Doctor: What is it?

*Flashback*

Peach: Stop it! I don’t want to go on!
Luigi: Why not!?
Peach: Because I don’t love you!
Luigi: That’s not true!
Peach: It is!

They fought all night till Peach interrupted Luigi.

Peach: I’m sorry Luigi but you must go. I have to call Daisy, I promised her a sleep over once in a week.
Luigi: Okay…

Peach left the room leaving Luigi alone.

Luigi: I hope this will change her mind.

He left a note on top of the table and left the room 252.

*Flashback ends*

Luigi: I-I remembered something. With princess Peach.
Doctor: Hmm interesting…Can you remember anything else?
Luigi: I-I’ll try…

*Flashback*
As Peach left the room she remembered she had left her purse in the room. When Luigi left the castle he stared at the window of the room for a while. He could see the shadow of Peach standing there. But then another shadow appeared and…
*Flashback ends*

Luigi: I remember now! Peach didn’t kill herself, nor was killed. Peach isn’t dead at all!
