The federal court has officially declared the COPA (Children Online Protection Act) unconstitutional, and have overturned it.

I'm... not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing.
Well, as long as any new member act mature, I don't care, regardless of age.

Although I still don't quite get why it was overturned completely, and not just changed or the age limit lowered, etc.

Does it really matter? People under the age of 13 have been on the internet, anyway- and, looking at how many internet folks act, it seems like there's alot of them out there- and I believe the COPA thing was for sites that required personal information. So, a non-adult forum where posters don't post any personal information would be allowed. If not, kids could get on sites that had a "parental consent" agreement-thing upon signing up. And, for the sites that didn't have one of those, again, kids lie about their ages. Really, a "don't ask, don't" tell policy.

It doesn't matter. Not like there's much of a difference between an 11-year-old and 13-year-old in behavior, anyway. Rolling Eyes

Who ever said only people over thirteen could act mature, anyway?

If now anyone, regardless of age, can join forums...

Wouldn't it be fine, as long as they can use proper grammar, and aren't annoying? In fact, I have friends seven-ten years old, who can use correct grammar online, and everything.

So, I guess, as long as they can act mature, and use proper grammar, it's fine with me.

Who knows? There may be some kids under the age of thirteen who are really awesome. :3

Worst case, we have more Spongebob- and Hannah Montana-related spam. Chances are that little kids won't even think of joining us, though.

Let's just hope that Digibutter doesn't get loaded with Hannah Montanna spam.

I think the worst that would happen is that newbies join, quickly accumulate three strikes, get pissed off when they go to jail and leave.
