[Medikoopa]

A rift between Bitlands and the Digtal World has been discovered. The rift in question leads to a hatchery. Due to a glitch of some sort, only a purple digiegg was present.

It looks like it might hatch soon.

[Black Warrior]

*silently watches the rift and the egg*

[Medikoopa]

The egg rocked back and forth. A couple cracks appeared in its surface.

Whatever was inside, it was having a hard time getting out.

[Black Warrior]

The man in black armor slowly moved towards the egg. Not cautiously, but in a more preserved fashion. While there was a potential threat about this egg, he did not seem to care, for if he could not tame it to do his bidding, he would simply slay it and move on.

[Medikoopa]

Enough cracks appeared on the egg for two tiny eyes to be seen. The inside of the egg seemed to be completely black and two small bright yellow eyes could be seen in the darkness.

The eyes were looking up at the unfamliiar being.

[Black Warrior]

The man stopped by the egg and kneeled down. He decided to try the simplest approach first, "Come..." he spoke. His voice sounded somewhat distant, and in a way, harsh, a clear indication he has not spoken in a long time. "Come to your master..." he continued. He would not help the creature out of it's egg, because being honest, that would indicate that it is extremely weak...meaning it would have little value to him.

[Medikoopa]

A couple bubbles came floating out of the egg as the infant tried again to get out. this time, the egg slid forward and the tiny Digimon came rolling out.

It looked like a black furry sphere with two smaller black spheres on the top of its head. It was a Botamon!

[Black Warrior]

The man simply watched this...thing. He is unsure of his next move...will it just obey him? Will he have to use force? Perhaps a capture crystal would allow him to transport it to his dark palace. Either way, he thought, the Botamon would come to obey him.

[Medikoopa]

The Botamon got up and scootched its way around the immediate area.

"Awa..."

[Black Warrior]

"Come to your master..." he said again, in a slightly louder voice.

[Medikoopa]

This was a newly hatched Digimon. All the command did was make it look up at him.

"Awa?"

[Black Warrior]

The man appears to be slightly irritated at it's current lack of obedience. Perhaps he needs to teach it the meaning of the word "master"? It is just a newborn, after all.

He has made his decision. He has been out in the open for too long, so he will take it back to the Palace of Darkness. The easiest method to do so would be with the use of a Capture Gem, a small crystal that, when activated with basic magic, can shrink a creature and capture it inside of it.
((Similar to how Zelda gets trapped in a crystal in OoT, but it has the ability to shrink the target down to a very small size until they are released. The process is relatively harmless to the creature, the most that is likely to happen is hunger and/or thirst))
He proceeds to pull out a small sack, and begins sifting through several differently sized gems, looking for one that would be small enough to contain such a small creature.

The Botamon began to munch of some grass... and then spat it out.
