I feel like since digibuttz is lacking in any real thrills as of late, I'd try my hands at hosting a tournament. ... Unfortunately for me, I've run into a few snags in my planning that I've no idea how they'd be straightened out.
For example, how could one monitor the matches? Sure, Brawl has a spectator mode and we can have everyone in our friends lists... but can we actually see their matches going on? Can they provide any real evidence? It would pretty much be an honor system otherwise, and... not saying I don't trust anyone, but greed is one of the more compelling sins...
Then there's how I'd go about doing it... Individual matchups, or can there actually be a tourney mode over the Wi-fi? Don't think there is, but... Anyways, other than posting updates here in the forum, I've no idea what to do. The only set idea here is that I want it to be 2-player team battles the entire way; a team-battle tourney, if you will.
Then... while I've an idea of what I want to do for prizes, what would your average digibutt user want to see the lucky winner get? What would be more expected vs. what would be WANTED? Again, I've my own ideas and am a simple user, after all... but I'm going to try to do SOMETHING good for the winners should I actually do this.
Also: Was thinking about maybe doing a small entry fee to help business, considering awards don't make themselves...
So there's my snag list in a nutshell. Help? |

If it's that costly, then...prolly not going to happen. My funds are meager as it is, and I'm making prizes for 3rd, 2nd, and 1st placer teams... which means 2 prize items per team. :XD I'm sure someone would like a Glitzpit belt though... |

My biggest concern is how honorable our combatants would be.
I mean, if I could watch the matches for myself somehow, I'd have no qualms about it. If we could have an official spectator or were able to find out how to be able to spectate our friends' matches....then it wouldn't be an issue.
I mean, I've gotta be able to know 100% truly who won each dealie. |
