G4 put it to a test. Surprisingly the PS3 slightly edges out the Wii to be the toughest console. The Xbox360 didn't stand a chance.
I can confirm this, because I dropped my PS3 about three feet onto concrete, and it still runs fine. Really surprising since it doesn't look like it was meant to be moved at all.
I bet the Wii would last longer after further tests though
Gotta agree with you about the Wii. Look at the previous generation. When G4 did a durability test on the PS2, XBOX, and Gamecube, the Gamecube came out on top.
Nintendo makes their shit tough, since they know that people are gonna end up smackin the consoles around on occasion.
I have the feeling the Wii would hold up better if the test was more like the first one that Blue mentioned.ಠ_ಠ
Totally agreed. The wii might look delicate but its a tough console. Im surpirsed ps3 slighty won the last round, knowing that sonys things are delicate. Lol poor xbox 360 powerful in media and graphics not powerful in physical duribility.
To be honest, this is the dumbest thing I have ever seen. Just because 2 buff guys say the PS3 is the strongest, doesnt mean it is. Also, they all broke. Also, the last round was the worst. To test which console is the toughest, they need to put them in ALL EQUAL TEST.
Since M'aiq doesn't have butterfingers and never carries cinderblocks or sledgehammers near any of his consoles, he doesn't really give a shit about which one won.

Indeed. Like I said before, the first one with the PS2, XBox and Gamecube was retarded in concept, but genious in excecution.ಠ_ಠ
Remember how, when they did this with the PS2/Gamecube/Xbox, they used the slim PS2? I wonder if the outcome would have been different, had they used the older, bigger version.

Well, they tested the models that were currently out because it would make sense to do so.
But I think the bigger one may have done better, it seemed bulkier and less flimsy.
THAT IS WHY I STILL HAVE AN ORIGINAL PS2. Bulky as hell, and I love it.
