I'm having a large debate whether I should get the Playstation 3 or Xbox 360 for Christmas. I have already went out and bought a Playstation 3 at Walmart, and received a $100 gift card. Now I’m thinking of returning it and getting an Xbox 360. Sometimes my mind changes. For example, one time I really wanted Little Big Planet and now I want Left 4 Dead, which sometimes determines what system I would like and I’ll get other games for it.
In your opinions, which system is better? What games would you recommend? Which one has better graphics? Which system has better games? If you could, please go in-depth for games and/or which system is better. |

Well imo, IMO before anyone starts fanboyism on me, I prefer Xbox 360: The games seem more interesting to me than those of ps3. LBP and MGS4 are good yeah but its not worth buying a ps3 just for them, unless you have other games to buy. |

I prefer the Playstation 3 for heavier horsepower, Playstation Network, and actual free online. The completely custom themes for the XMB interface are awesome, too. |

M'aiq prefers the 360 overall. Like stated above, two games aren't worth buying a console over.
Make a list of the 360 exclusives you want and the PS3 exclusives you want, and then go with what console has the ones you're most looking forward to. |

They're both awesome, but I prefer the PS3.
It's newer, bigger and has awesome games overall. Plus, I'm not really into all the intense FPS games. |

It all depends on the exclusives you want and how many of your friends have what consoles. It's a matter of opinion, but you won't be losing out no matter which you buy. |

If you live for shooters, and you don't get frustrated ever, then buy a 360.

Dude.
Who cares if the PS3 doesn't have 1000 good games at the moment.
As soon as I got it, I fell in love. Great console, I still play it all the time. The "good" games for it aren't good. They're AMAZING. |

The only things I've really heard you praise about it are Mirrors Edge and LBP. The former is multi-console.  |

PS3 will last longer (due to the red rings of death on the 360
PS3 has more content (playstation network, SIMS, or what it's called)
PS3 has more save space.
Thats all I got to say for now. But in my opinion I would rather buy a Wii, but you probably already have one like the rest of the bad guy's!  |

Funny story. Of the 3 360's in our house, only one of them have gotten RROD'd. Our PS3 broke twice.

True, but save space is only really a problem if you buy a load of expansions or refuse to delete trailers and demoes. 20GB is still serving me well enough.
I'm trying to avoid bashing the PS3, but I'm bringing up my points to prove that it certainly isn't perfect. It's fun, but unless it brings out some games I'd really want to play, I'm going to sit on my "I like the 360 more" chair.
Oh, and I don't give a shit about Home, so I really don't care if I bashed it. |

From an unbiased standpoint, just sit it out with the PS3 for afew days.
Mainly because I don't give a shit about exclusives.
As long as the versions of multiconsole games are good, exclusive shouldn't truely matter until said exclusives are proven to be good.ಠ_ಠ |

Graphics definitely shouldn't be the main focus, but to say they don't matter at all isn't right either. If they really don't matter, why don't you just play Atari 2600 your entire life?
On-topic: Both consoles are good in their own ways, but I personally prefer the PS3. Most of the 360's games are also available on PC, so unless your computer can't run that stuff I wouldn't bother. |

Personally, I'm on the side of the PS3.
I have something against Microsoft charging to play on XBOX Live while its competitors charge nothing. The only 360 game that really appeals to me is Banjo-Kazooie, and only one game isn't enough for me to guy a system. The PS3 offers LBP, MGS4, and later down the road Kingdom Hearts 3. Also, some of the older PS3 games like Warhawk, Resistance, and Folklore (I love it) appeal greatly to me. |
