Clash of the rhythm game titans; Harmonix vs. Activision.
Myself, I prefer Rock Band 2. There's a wide variety of songs, I can guarantee everyone will find at least one song that they like. The charts are reasonable, yet difficult. There aren't any sections that are difficult for the sake of being difficult (making a possible exception for Afterlife by Avenged Sevenfold, but that's downloadable content), and the setlist has both well-known great music and little-known great music (okay, sure, there's some bad stuff, but it can't be perfect).
No poll because I actually want to see reasoning. |

I'd personally go with Guitar Hero because it has a LOT of decent punk songs, and my favorite band, At the Drive-In.
Oh, and Afterlife is REALLY HARD. My friend downloaded it (before his 360 red ring'd) and I'd rather play any Dragonforce song. |

Even though I personally think World Tour has a better setlist (MAKE HOTEL CALIFORNIA DLC FOR ROCK BAND 2 DAMMIT), I prefer Rock Band 2 for the reasons you stated already. |

Rock Band 2. Frankly, I don't have the space to store all the damned peripherals. I have four guitars and one drum set. Don't need Six guitars and Two drumsets. |

Rock Band 2. I just think it has the better song layouts when compared to GH, although I'm pissed the GH has gotten songs like Halo's theme, I am Murloc(both on GHIII), and now Hotel California.
Oh well, at least the folks who do RB are giving us The Beatles. I'll definately lap it up like a mindless consumer. |

Rock Band 2. For Thrasher (Evile). I also like the wide variety of songs and DLC. |

GHWT.
Cymbals without expansion. Song creator. I personaly like the GH soundtrack more. Better difficulty level. I find no fun if theres no challenge at all. More difficult range. Songs in there for the sake of being hard is good. Theres some good people out there who needs it. SLIDE GUITAR AND DON'T SAY GH COPIED RB CAUSE RB COPIED GH IN THE FIRST PLACE Solo mode? I call, Flail like a loser mode. Try real solos. I played RB, and the guitar feels weird in your hands RB has sloopy menu stuff. GH IS BEDDER |

No they didn't. Harmonix INVENTED Guitar Hero, and followed up with GHII. When they went to make Rock Band, Neversoft took the rights to the GH games. |

Harmonix sold the rights to Guitar Hero so they could go on with Rock Band. GH:WT copied the full-band aspect of RB because they knew that they couldn't get sales with just guitar. |

Keep in mind that you don't have to buy the whole band kit. My friend who has Guitar Hero III for Wii just bought the Guitar Hero World Tour game by itself. It's a great Guitar Hero game, even if you don't have the full band or the new guitar. |

i gotta go with world tour. More realistic drums. Harder charts to provide more of a challenge. 99% of the in-game songs are good. Rock Band has tons of songs but not every person has Xbox live or PSN so they don't have access to those 500 DLC songs and the in-game soundtrack is MUCH greater on world tour than rb2. Yes, RB2 is a game. I have them both so I can say that I like WT more. Oh, also about world tour Wii users have access to DLC, sure not as much but RB2 doesn't have DLC for wii owners, that's bad. |
