Well, my family is currently debating over what to get for Christmas(actually, my sister and I), whilst I keep telling my sister a PS3 is a better choice, she and my mom are all "OMGWIIISBETTAH" mostly because of Wii Fit and Wii Sports. Now, I'm trying to get a PS3 for MGS4, DMC4, LBP, FFXIII, and Versus XIII when they come out. So, what should I get? |

Also, I've decided not to get a 360, mostly because the cost of Live for its entire lifespan puts it over the cost of a PS3(which is 399 for the 80 GB one). It's 5 dollars a month, and the average lifespan of a good console is 5 years(My 5 year old PS2 is still alive), so that's 300 dollars+199, making it 499, a higher price than the PS3, but over a longer time. |

PS3 for sure. It has more actual games that people get real fun out of, not the enjoyment of acting half-retarded. |

The Wii is like an impulse buy. Sure, it may seem all "unique" when you first buy it, but, after a few months of ownership, you really start to regret not buying another console instead. In the long run, the PS3 will have a far better library; stick with the PSTripple. |

Just because the wii is getting some crap game now, doesnt mean its bad sheesh. The wii has loads of great games, but people these days just care about new games.
I say Wii cause other than being cheaper, It has many good games, wiiware and virtual console games. |

The Wii is a console for casual gamers. Nintendo has stated that many times. If they do make something hardcore, then it will be on the next console. And if you all remember, everyone was saying the PS2 sucked. Now it is one of the most successful consoles ever. |

I have a Wii, and after getting my PS3, I haven't played the Wii since (except some Billy Hatcher).
It's really surprising, actually. I only have one PS3 game, but there's tons of stuff you can do/play on the PS3 that's free.
Get a PS3. More good games are actually coming out, and the online service is fantastic compared to the shit Nintendo gives us. Plus, even the cross-console games are better on the PS3- take Mirror's Edge, for example. It's got a whole extra level, and Sonic Unleashed has two levels that the Wii version doesn't have (of course, so does the Xbox). |

Basically what he said.
The Wii's only really good if you're extremely bored. Out of the 3 consoles, I only currently own a Wii. And even now I don't play it more than once every 2 weeks. |

Same here. Except I don't use the Wii. At all.
The PS3 has better online than the others. XBox Live quality online, but it is completely free, aside from the obvious paying your ISP for the general internet fee. |
