I think I might buy this. It has a shopping system, you can make cartoons, Take pictures and have fun with 'em, mess around with music, etc... :0 So, what're your opinions on the DSi?
I don't like it. I see no reason taking out the GBA port. I see no reason having another camera. I mean sure it has some improvements like the shopping system. But theres just something missing that the DSLite had.

Anyways, the shopping could be nice, since we might be able to get GBA games to download, as well as just about every other handheld game ever. Yaaaay.

That would be like Microsoft or Sony releasing their major console updates as seperate systems, forcing us to spend another brick of cash to be able to play.
Nintendo should stop focusing on re-releasing the DS again and again and get to work on their next handheld.

It pretty much is their next handheld, though. There are going to be DSi-specific games before long...think of it as the step from the GameBoy to the GameBoy Color.
Gonna buy it for the same reason I bought my DS-Lite.
The previous DS's Shoulder buttons going out. I mean, c'mon! I guess Music and Photos, and camera's are cool, but I have my iPhone...
Downloading GB-GBA games'll be neat. And once they got it hacked where you can put other GBA games on it, I know one I'll puuuut. *cough mother 3 fan-translation cough cough cough.*

Thing is, adding Color was a big step for the gameboy. Back then, the only handhelds with color were usually humongous. The DSi is just the DS with a freaking camera. EVERYTHING has a camera nowadays. M'aiq isn't interested in "Imagine: Babiez Photo Boothz" thank you. He only gets an avrage of one game that interests him every 6 months as it is.
The reason M'aiq hates this is the same as why he hates the iPhone, it's trying to cover so many useless and/or unneeded utilities that it's ignoring actually improving on what it's supposed to be used for.
Not only will the DS Lite have the GBA port, but it will always have no ability to update, which will then always allow ports to be put onto it by the user.
I have no doubt that the DSi will come out with updates that render these ports done by users useless, due to piracy of games. Forgot what the name of these 'ports' are, but i'm sure you know what I mean.
And besides, NOBODY NEEDS A *crag* CAMERA, OR IMAGE EDITING SOFTWARE ON YOUR *crag* DS. THAT'S WHAT THE *crag* COMPUTER IS FOR >: (

FINALLY, SOMEONE ELSE WHO THINKS THE LACK OF A GBA PORT ISN'T A BIG LETDOWN
Seriously, one of the reasons I can gather that it has no GBA port is everyone had well over 4-5 years to get one. If you haven't gotten SOMETHING that plays GBA games in that timespan, it's your own damn fault.
I don't really care about the GBA slot, cuz I have a GBA SP and a Micro, so I'm covered there.
The thing I'm wondering is what the hell do you mean by DSi specific games? I mean really, it has the same graphical capabilities, so it's not like it can run anything better than DS games as they are now.
