Meh. I'll admit the book's fun for what it is--and what it is is trashy teen romance with fangs. Problem is, the fangirls go *crag* nuts over it.
The movie was just gorram awful, though. The high point was, for me, giggling at Cedward's sparkles.
On a side note, the actor playing Edward read the books, hated the character, and played him as a stalker who hated himself. C: |

When I got home, I unloaded all the groceries, stuffing them in wherever I could find an open space. I hoped Charlie wouldn’t mind. I wrapped potatoes in foil and stuck them in the oven to bake, covered a steak in marinade and balanced it on top of a carton of eggs in the fridge.
When I was finished with that, I took my book bag upstairs. Before starting my homework, I changed into a pair of dry sweats, pulled my damp hair up into a ponytail, and checked my e-mail for the first time. I had three messages.
The steak and potatoes she made that day were friggin' tasty. They filled me up. |

I read some of it alongside a friend who was told to read it as a bet for 50 dollars.
We ended up editing it so that Edward is actually a demonic lord that rules over fifteen levels of Hell that were previously unknown. |

My favorite part of my edited version is the one where Edward kills that chick, and claims dominion over three planes of earth, after which he explodes into a burst of flowers, bunnies, and Santa Clauses. |
