To everyone that claims Super Mario Galaxy 2 will just be a rehash:
Go to Metacritic, and look at the scores for the original Mario Galaxy.
Universal acclaim. Another Super Mario Galaxy is a good thing no matter what.
Golden Sun DS, Mario and Luigi: Bowser's Inside Story, New Super Mario Bros. Wii, and Metroid: Other M, and Wii Sports Resort look great too, and overall I thought Nintendo's e3 was pretty awesome.
Seroiusly though, why would more SMG be a bad thing? Sure, 10% of the galaxies are the same, but the stars will be different. They're really just new levels that reuse some of the old settings.
EDIT: Fixed some typos.

If people feel let down, it's likely because they're not making any groundbreaking mechanic with this like they did with every other Mario game.
They go from having wild gravity to having wild gravity with a few Yoshi areas. Not a very big jump forward, even if I do love seeing Yoshi with Mario. |

Well, Yoshi has a new grappling hook mechanic, and a few new moves, like super speed and floating like a baloon. I also saw something that looked like a rotating block that gives powerups, and a time-stop mechanic. |

There aren't many people denying that it's going to be great, but the odds of it being as highly rated as the original are slim to none. |

Flavio pretty much hated Galaxy, actually. |

The final boss in Mario galaxy was such a disappointment that I don't even want to play the second one, because I doubt they'll make the final boss epic whatsoever.

If it contains anything new, then it has gimmicky game play If it is the same as any of its predecessors, then it is just a rehash. Those are the laws of fanboyism, and they hold forever true. |

Yeah, that pretty much sums up the entire Nintendo fandom.
Or "Fan Dumb" as some people in the TV Tropes community call it.
(TV Tropes is a website that catalogs various techniques and plot devices used in fiction. Careful though, the site is very addicting and you probably shouldn't visit it if you have anything you need to get done in the next few hours.) |

I find it funny how people complain about it being a "rehash" of the first one, yet if it had been vastly different, then they'd be pissed off. |

<3 TV Tropes.
It'll likely be a decent game, I think. C: |
