I think that if someone randomly goes to Best Buy to get a new console, looks at the details on the box and talks to a an employee, they will walk away with a PlayStation 3.
A more informed person would pick the console that has the games they want to play, but the average Joe will take the one that looks like a better deal. Right now the PS3 is the better deal and BluRay will finally pay off for Sony.
That and everyone who has had an Xbox 360 for a while will be very tempted to get a new PS3 this year. |

I voted for the 360. The PS3 is overwhelmingly better, but the 360 will probably sell more. Just look at all the faggy, 10=year-old Xbox fanboys who don't realize that the PS3 even exists. |

I don't think BluRay will ever pay off for Sony. Ever.
They're selling something that costs at least $600 to make and putting it in a gaming console that sells for half as much. that's not even counting the other features they stick in, like the gaming console part.
Unless of course Sony found some magic formula that makes BluRay players very cheap to make. |

I think what was holding PS3 back before was the price tag.
It's lowered, so it will probably get a lot of sales this year. |
