You fight each other. You can use all known moves for your character from all three Smash Bros. games so far, if your character has been in any of them. Take into account that the 'Items That Drop': It means that once in a while one of those items will randomly drop into the arena. Brinstar Depths (the stage that Kraid rotates every once in a while) is the Stage you're fighting in, and you each have 3 Stock/Lives. So, once a character is knocked out of the arena 3 times in any way, they're out.
