I've e-mailed Nintendo many questions, some being about when or if they will actually release a first person shooting game. Before you come back at me with a smart remark like "Mario is too kiddy for an actual FPS!" consider the following:
I'd like to first point out that it would have to be VERY limited. No blood, guts, wounds. Just bullet bills and bob-ombs flying around and exploding in people's faces. They do it in Mario Party, so why not here?
Second, the guns wouldn't look like real guns. They'd have to look resemble them, yet be cartoony at the same time.
Before you reply with a one word answer (No.), think of Wario with a huge-ass machine gun.

...does "Yoshi's Safari" count? It sounds somewhat like you're describing, and it's an FPS.
I doubt we'll get another one, though. |
