Oh I read them.
In depth.
I replayed Portal today and found another line of dialouge that backs up the "GLaDOS training Chell to kill her" theory.
And that is in the "Impossible Chamber." This is obviously not to test the gun, it is to test the user.
Why would a course designed solely to test the Portal Gun include something like this? |

I think GLaDOS has THE POWER TO REVERSE TIME.
Because each time you fail, you see the Portal Gun lying around near you. And then you reaspawn like two minutes before your whoopsie.
That would also explain why Chell keeps her memory and then does it right, or differently.
GLaDOS CONTROLS THE META MECHANISMS OF GAMING.
Oh, and wasn't Cave Johnson long dead and in a come when Portal started ? Because it was his three tier program that - MUCH LATER- let to the Portal gun. Lots of people ignore that. HIS KIDNEYS WERE FAILING.

Put if he was Chell father, she would still be a young girl when he died and older when GLaDOS took over. |

If I remember correctly, never does it state anywhere in Portal that the test is for the Portal Gun. And it works just fine, anyway. Whatever the test is for, most likely Chell, it's probably not for The Device. |

I thought Valve announced there would be no Half-Life at E3?

Zelnor, GLaDOS does not control the quicksave feature! If you look at the Controls section, you can see that the default button for Quick Saving is the F6 key.
A thing to support the android theory:

GLaDOS was obviously always corrupt. Remember the line at the start of Chamber 18:

The Morality Core just prevented GLaDOS from immediately destroying Chell from the start of the game. In Chamber 6 (the first one with the slime, if I'm remembering correctly), GLaDOS could've flooded the chamber with slime. And of course, she could've reprogrammed a fizzler (Aperture Science Material Emancipation Grill) to destroy ANYTHING that went through it, even a human. But it sure is funny to throw a camera or turret through one of those!

I tried to turn off the cheats before entering ALL 36 CHALLENGE ELEVATORS, and it said I cheated every time.
Anyway, to clear some things up (as best as a mere fan of the game can), It's obvious that Chell is probably a clone/android, and that GLaDOS is still out there.
But have you ever thought about if her song was all one bing ball of overly stressed sarcasm?
GLaDOS is a compulsive liar, and she may have been lying about her opinion on surviving the attack Chell made on her. |

Yes, that quote was sporked, but in the game, GLaDOS did mention a Sarcasm Sphere...
I beat Advanced Chambers 15-18 by using noclip, then flying to the elevator, disabling noclip and sv_cheats, then entering. GLaDOS is such a sucker.
By the way, you can trick Turrets into shooting each other. It's hard to do it without getting maimed yourself, but boy is it satisfying!
