Popple, you forget that E3 Conferences are directed toward the media, and not the Gamer public.

Since the conferences were over, I see more "promising" games being announced/having info released about. And I mean all 3 consoles, really.

Moreso towards the shareholders than the media.

Actually the first Brawl announcement wasn't at the Developers conference.

It was at the Press Confrence.

So, LOL.

I want you to watch the E3 2006 Nintendo press conference again.

Try to find any mention AT ALL of Brawl, let alone the Super Smash Bros. series. I dare you.

When the *crag* Wii was announced Iwata said they were working on a new Brawl and wanted it out at launch.

They did a pretty good job on that didn't they.

Well, I was more referring to the first actual footage of the game rather than the confirmation that the game existed, but I can see where the confusion came from there.

OH I C

So apparently you are right and they are going to announce five new games that they didn't announce at E3 for no arbitrary reason even though most of their consumers aren't going to read/watch the developer's confrence.

I GOTCHA

Where in the world did I say five games? I was thinking that it was possible that there could be a big game announcement, not five.

EDIT: Hm, apparently there's an embargo on the information at the conference after all.

Well, here's what I think: if it was something pointless, it wouldn't have an embargo on it...so it must be something of interest.
