Here's my suggestion- Miyamojo, RPOT, and RP are merged in to one "General Role-Playing" forum. The new RP board would have the rules of the old one, but it would be much more active, as those in RPOT would have nowhere else to go.
And, there would be another, true RPing forum for completely original characters unrelated to a game, movie, or anything like that. There would be a strict approval process for original characters- there would be an RP council who does the approving. |

From what I can tell, RPOT has become like an entire plot itself. Like one huge convoluted story spread across topics. Regular RP appears to be left behind as you said, but it may look that way because you are comparing it to RPOT.
So one or a mix of these things are happening:
A) RP is abandoned because RPOT is more fun and simpler
B) RP just appears to be abandoned because it doesn't get as many updates as RPOT.
C) People who are in RPOT wouldn't be very good at regular RP, so RPOT has no effect on RP either way.
I think if we could bring more visibility to the RP forum, then it would be more active. So, I'm open to any suggestions. |

Except one thing I find wrong is...what if the General Role Playing forum leaves the True one dead? I only like the True RP board Idea. |

I think you are going to have a bigger uprising on your hands if you take away OT, because there is no way to replace it.
In a way, it is the replacement for the Dump. A perfected Dump.
RPOT also needs to be, Perfected. |

Half the probelm is that people are afraid to use RPOT because they either won't get noticed unless they use a liscensed character or their plots will be ignored becuase you are all too busy being with the *crag* continuity.
Also there is the RP being utterly *crag* dead problem.
Changing up RPOT into a little bit more of a mainstream RP forum would fix this problem with little to no consequence.
Except you know, less meaningless dialog that goes on for only one page and the possibility of people actually role playing as characters in the other forums again.
As it stands RPOT is almost completely inaccessible to n00bs, and you guys feel that just because you are having fun with it that no one else should be able to because it would force you to do something you are unsure about.
I hardly see that as fair. |

On the other hand, members who like to RP aren't always sure about going in OT because everyone rags on them for liking RPing. |
