One-on-ones are really unnecessary, as their details can be explained from PM RP's and the little bits of those can be collected and finely crushed into a powder adding to the concauction of writing that we all drink from for its delicious and addicting, yet unique and refined, flavor.
But, topics made specifically for the purpose of role-playing with only one other person is...for lack of a better term, stupid. You can make it more private, and characters might have to have a logical explaination for getting in (i.e. if you have characters on the moon, and Baby Waluigi shows up and destroys the X-Naut Base, at least say that his parents kicked him that high or something, not just "We're whalers on the moon").
And yes, I will admit to being guilty for that...but really, Role-Playing is about being able to express yourself with all others, taking a wonderful story and having a few laughs along the way...then destroying it with nuclear warheads.
Also, if two characters are having a battle, that's acceptable. Just make an audience section and let the Great Wario sell hot dogs. GARLIC DOGS OF DEATH, MORONS! WAH HAH HAH! |

In some cases, a one-on-one RP was meant to be multi, but few people post and sometimes only one person responds.
Other times, a one-on-one RP is preparing for a more-than-two RP.
And in the case of my Raven Village, it ALLOWED more than one person, but one of the few people to respond other than Devin was inserting his character in a rather inappropriate way. New people out in the open are suspect. As are people in cloaks. This is a village which is isolated from most people, but people can still come in (they just never entered, apparently). The people would not know what to think of the strangers. I wanted people to come in an see their reactions to a village of raven-worshipers, but the only non-Kraehe person that came in (and stayed for a while) was Arihu, another character of Dev's. |

. . . . . . You forgot about me. I was in, but then you got a bit nitpicky about the situation. I edited the post, but then nobody responded. |

Okay..people...please listen...
If you don't like one on one RP's...ignore them, or start your own RP. WOW! What happens? Everyone is happy! Look, just because you don't like something that IS NOT harming the forum, doesn't mean it should be taken away? Should Opinion topic be banned from Digiblogger? No. They don't harm the forum. Maybe someone doesn't like them. Well guess what they do. YOU DON'T READ THEM! Holy shit. That's such a good idea.
Look, people, stop being morons. This is a pointless topic, with stupid suggestions. Don't read them if you don't like them. That's why there's more than one topic in RP and RPOT. So if you don't like one, you can go to another. Start showing SOME intellect. Please? |
