I agree. Completely.
Why?
1. Your character HAS NO character. So you're gonna be a Pokemon Trainer? Why? All you get is a professor telling you about Pokemon, then... um. Yeah.
2. The other characters have no character. They're all the *crag* same. All of them.
3. The game has no depth. The only way to GIVE it depth is to take out the little fun it possesses by analyzing every *crag* thing. The game's supposed to be random. You aren't supposed to spend weeks breeding Pokemon, and training them against certain other Pokemon.
4. Same *crag* thing. Need a say more?
Yeah. Those are pretty much my reasons. |

Even for a monster-catching game, Pokemon is phail. The monsters are too...bleh, characters are....bleh. Everything is...bleh.
I LOVE DQM, but for a valid enough reason. There is an interesting plot, the monsters look good, and although leveling is a PAIN, it can be fun with some really good looking monsters. |

After all we all know Red & blue were the only great Pokemon games.
4.The original voice actors for Team Rocket are now doing some shitty show called Dinosaur King on 4Kids. WHAT THE HELL! THEY DESERVE BETTER
5. The glitches are what made Red & Blue legendary. It was like a sort of metagame, one of the first times a culture was built around a portable game. But thanks to the phat pay checks GAME FREAK has been getting their this is no longer the case. Hell, at least in Gold & Silver you could clone shit. |
1. Please don't make dumb statements like this unless you've actually battled competitively, SSSS-BOOM. also, if you don't like spending hours preparing, then just go to shoddybattle.com or something.
2. I'm not really sure what your point is, here. There have been plenty of upgrades between games: hold items, abilities, moves, etc. And I'm only talking about battling.
3. Ok, so the story isn't very creative...at all...but only little kids buy Pokemon games because they like the story.
4. um, ok.
5. oh, come on. are you saying a game is bad because it doesn't have glitches? The glitches may have helped Red and Blue, but I don't think Missingno is the only reason the series is popular, heh. |

Not true at all. If you've ever even PLAYED Pokémon, you'd know.

I agree, but people buy them for the new regions, new Pokémon, and new challenges. I think that it's epicness HAS decreased VERY significantly since Gen 2, though. (Can't wait for the remake)

No, G&S were the best, imo. And also, so what if it's the same? New Pokémon, new moves, new strategies, etc. THAT'S the challenge, and THAT'S why people buy the new games.

I agree. This sucks, 4Kids is shit. 4Kids destroyed the anime. I no longer like the show because of them. But this has nothing to do with Pokémon, just VAs

I agree that glitches were awesome, but what if you just want to play through the game, you find a glitch, and have to start all over after 6 badges, and a crapload of Pokémon? |

I do like the Pokemon games, but really, the show was never good. It just seemed that way when you were 10. |

WOW IM GOING TO HATE MYSELF FOR USING THE *crag* AMENSIA CONVENTION BUT WHATEVER
You wash up on an island with nothing but a Poke'ball and a poke'dex type thing that shows information about the surrounding area and has the radio from Silver & Gold in it because it was awesome. Some of the parts seem to have shorted out though, erasing all your personal data from it. That combined with you temporary amnesia from *crag* getting tossed around in the ocean results in you not knowing who or where the *crag* you are.
So the Pokeball you have is your starter which you don't get to choose and it is a random Pokemon because that would make the game so much better.
HELL THE GAME SHOULD RANDOMLY GENERATE ALL OF THE LEGENDARIES BECAUSE THEN THEY WOULD ACTUALLY BE *crag* LEGENDARY
Anyway.
As you get up and brush the sand of yourself you see a large figure disappearing into da ocean. So you head to the nearest town and get the basic tutorial and shit and the Prof hands you a map and says get a *crag* move on.
You then travel across the land, meeting new people and finding faint hints of your past after learning your name near the begining because someone finds your *crag* name or you are registered at the Pokecenter or something.
You suddenly realize that you were apart of a research team trying to create the ultimate machine of war, and find your colleages taking them out one by one. Some are hiding in their heavily guarded lairs while others are deep within the wilderness.
AND GUESS WHAT THEY HAVE MORE THAN ONE TYPE OF POKEMON
And then at the end you destroy the ultimate war machine Pokeman thing that is completely randomly generated and unique to your game and then you can recreate it later and it would be awesome.

Why does it even matter if Popple doesn't like Pokemon? I disagree with him, but it doesn't effect me at all. I'm going to keep enjoying Pokemon, and he can keep enjoying whatever games he likes.
Oh, wait, I forgot. Thinking that Nintendo isn't totally flawless is punishable by death. |
