Death Note/Code Geass/Tengen Toppa Gurren Laggan are pretty good animes that I've watched.

I regularly watch a really good anime that is G-rated and still cool: Bakugan. You can watch it either on Cartoon Network (6 AM weekdays, if you're up that early) or on anime6.net. NOTE: The latter probably will not work at school, because I think that Veoh may be blocked, just like YouTube.
The show is broadcast in not-dubbed or -subtitled English (also available in Japanese, but I dunno what site has it), and it has really cool special effects. Takes a few episodes to understand the concept of a brawl (not SSBB, but Bakugan Brawling), but once you get the hang of it, it's very cool.
...And for some reason, it bears a slight resemblance to Yu-gi-oh and Pokemon. But Drago and Preyas (in Darkus mode) using either "Pyrus and Darkus Diagonal Relation" or a Dragonoid Character Card would pwn ANY Yu-gi-oh monster or Pokemon.... including Lucario and maybe even an Egyptian God Card! (Though the latter probably requires Delta Dragonoid or above, as well as Blade Tigrerra and a couple of Ability Cards.)
