I see the problem with you guys.
You are too *crag* picky.
Dude, just because most games for the Wii aren't... "meaty", like Cid stated, doesn't mean you can't have fun with it AT ALL WHATSOEVER. Maybe if you TRIED IT, MAYBE YOU COULD ENJOY IT, NO MATTER HOW LONG IT IS.
Instead, you guys automatically stay away from most Wii games just because they're expanded to a family audience. Have you even payed attention to that anyways? They're broadened for everyone. Like stated before, you could have fun with it, despite it's duration.
I'm not saying to stick with Nintendo games; i'm actually expanding my horizons myself. All i'm saying is that maybe, just maybe, if you bother to TRY, you can just ignore the whole Casual VS Core and just enjoy gaming as a whole, despite how long you go on with it. Hell, you know what? You don't see the problem at all. We're not picky; we expect a console that delivers a good number of decent games. Why should the Wii be allowed to lag far behind the 360 in terms of a quality library?

We're going off on Nintendo because they're making bad games, and allowing massive numbers of cheaply-made, trashy third-party games to appear on their consoles. Nintendo consoles used to have some sort of approval process to allow third-party games on their consoles; certain standards. Now, however, they'll openly allow games like Ninjabread Man on their console, to go alongside their shotty efforts such as Wii Play or Wii Music.

I'd like to argue with all this: But I admit it. There are veyr few Wii games coming out that I want.
However, the same is true of all three systems. If I were to make a list of games I want to buy, I could count the list on one hand. For all of the 3, as a total. |

And no, I'm not being sensitive. I'm just using truths to back up my arguement that Nintendo is, indeed, lacking-in-quality. Debates =/= people getting overly sensitive. They happen all the time elsewhere, and it's a shame that digibutter rarely has debates. :/ |

I don't think saying the same shit about how nintendo isn't making good game, but masking it over with an edit of the post before that is telling the truth, You're just repeating yourself.

Nintendo contributes to it; Wii Play, Link's Crossbow Training, and Wii Music are all "shovelware." Plus, Nintendo are the ones allowing large amounts of terrible games to appear on their consol. Most of the time, there's some sort of quality level that a game needs to meet to make it on a console. The fact that Nintendo's "Seal of Quality" is now Nintendo's "Official Seal" lends credit, indirectly, to the fact that Nintendo's standards are not as high as they once were.
And, again, 7-9 good games- some of them being short- on a console that is two years old is unacceptable. |
