What's with you guys and portal?
Nonetheless, this looks FAR from my list. I personally tend to stray away from Final Fantasy, and GTA, I haven't even played starfox, but all of the other games there were OK. |

I disagree on a lot of points here.
Super Mario 64 just got lucky. It was nothing innovative, the story was identical to nearly EVERY Mario game prior, and the only reason it got so much recognition is because it was the first of it's kind on the N64. I mean, if you look at it from another perspective; what if Mario wasn't the main character? What if the game wasn't even Mario-related? Would people care? Probably not.
Final Fantasy VII I HAVE to disagree with. While it may have had it's bright spots of unique gameplay and emotional cutscenes, the game was, again, lucky to be the first of a major series. It was a Final Fantasy game; no more, no less. It was the first 3D game in the series, that's not a big deal.
Lesser known games (Beyond Good and Evil comes to mind) deserve a place in there to, and yet all I see are the bloody obvious games. |
