i gotta go with world tour. More realistic drums. Harder charts to provide more of a challenge. 99% of the in-game songs are good. Rock Band has tons of songs but not every person has Xbox live or PSN so they don't have access to those 500 DLC songs and the in-game soundtrack is MUCH greater on world tour than rb2. Yes, RB2 is a good game. I have them both so I can say that I like WT more. Oh, also about world tour Wii users have access to DLC, sure not as much but RB2 doesn't have DLC for wii owners, that's bad.

They sell RB Trackpacks on discs.

Very true, very true my friend. But harmonix claims that everyone has access to over 500 songs directly on their box! I say that is a lie because not everybody has PSN or Xbox Live. A mere two track packs for 40 songs total is definately not over 500. Also I shall continue on reasoning. In World Tour there are all four careers and a band cvareer. True that that band career isn't as nice and shiny as rock band's but IT HAS ONE! PLUS 4 OTHER INSTRUMENT CAREERS! That surpasses rock band's 1 messly band careers. Guitar Hero World Tour has the music studio which can provide hundreds of gameplay. What does rock band have along those lines? One simple freestyle mode for drums only. No recording. No working with friends to make an awesome song. If you play something awesome, oh well, you'll never see it again. Now to online play, Guitar Hero destroys here. Ok let's go over Rock Band's online. Band quickplay, band career, 1v1 face off and pro face off, (in GH terms) and BandvBand. Guitar Hero World Tour: 1v1 Faceeoff for every instrument, 2v2 guitar and bass, 1v1 battle, band quickplay, bandvband in real time, and I'm sure there are more I forgot. Guitar Hero has a better character customization, allows you to customize every instrument your own way. Once again I will say Rock Band 2 is a good game, just GHWT did it way better.

By the way, the Rock Bands have four instrument careers. You just haven't played them. And plus, does Guitar Hero 4 even sell those track packs in stores?
And besides, its your fault if you buy an inferior version.

Practically everyone has an internet connection of some kind by now. Rock Band has well over "40" downloadable songs total, unlike Guitar Hero, which only recently jumped on that bandwagon with more than it's old "3 songs every two months" scheme.

The only think I think GH:WT has over RB2 is the music creator, which is pretty much utter shit unless you recreate NES/SNES/old SEGA songs that quickly get deleted by Neversoft.

We are talking about rock band 2 here, not rock band 1. Yes, it is true rock band 1 has instrument careers but does rock band 2? no. Also for that guy with the squidward avatar, I can name at least 100 people at my school without internet connections or own the PS2 version, and yes 40 songs is all kids without an internet connection can get. Also, GHWT has DLC for wii. Does RB2? No.

But that is because Redoctane used Voodoo magic. [/jokeyouwon'tget]
Okay, so. Assuming you have all the previous installments, when you get GH4, then you have 40 songs. But when you get Rock Band 2, you have every song from the original Rock Band, including DLC, and you also get the new songs. And hey, their fault if they buy an inferior version.

Yes...

It also has tournaments set up for all varieties of instrument combos.

GH: WT's vocal charts are near impossible to tell when you're actually hitting it or not. :U

I find RB2 easier to play than GH:WT. I have trouble hitting the bass pedal notes in GH:WT anyway.

I also like RB2 songs better than GH:WT.

I agree there are some really good songs in GH:WT but the other 4/5 of the songs are ones barely anyone has ever heard of. RB2 has more memoriable songs IMHO.

GH: WT. I'll be honest, it's only because I own it.

And I Am Murloc, which is worth a few points.

BTW, it is confirmed that Wii GH:WT instruments are compatible with the Rock Band 2 game.

Also, both Guitar Hero WT and Rock Band 2 for Wii have DLC.
