So? Just because you worked hard on something doesn't mean it's worthwhile. I learned that the hard way.
The item system was alright in the olden days when it was new and shiny, but these days it's dead. The main problem with it is the coins you get for posts; the longer you've been here, the better off you are, period. On top of that, it's not really fun at all. Killing someone is a minor annoyance and serves no purpose.*
*If it WERE a penalty, it'd probably be worse.
IMHO, Digibattle would have been the greatest thing ever had Francis had the will to go through with it. In case you didn't know, it was supposed to be an online-enabled Flash app where two people could battle each other in a turn-based strategy type game. It was largely separate from the forum itself, just like an addon to the site. Unfortunately, Francis just threw us in a public group, left us to slit each other's throats over whose ideas were better, and ultimately ignored our cries. ФֻФ |

Yeah, if we can have an overhaul that's better, it's fine. That Digibattle idea sounds great. I think it's an ideal to strive for. And yes, you can also talk to Cid, say, by PMing him with some ideas and concerns; as Digibutter President, his main task is to relay those ideas to the staff for us to discuss. I've brought it up myself because, well, I'm here right now and I'm concerned about it. xD |
